A classic rum? Hell no.
New Zealand professional sailor Rob O’Connell came to Dow Goodfolk to launch a local, quality rum to upend long-standing stigmas around the spirit in New Zealand, he set about proving it can be a very different drink, one of nuance and clean, fresh flavour.
His creative process became the inspiration for the branding.
The logo is designed to look tinkered-with, using a font that trials what width its letters should be, and that steps boldly down the bottle, even if in fits and starts. Meanwhile the story of the drink is told as if a collection of Rob’s notes and scribbles.
