New Google Analytics Is Coming Into Force.

Last week, Google introduced new, more intelligent Google Analytics with a privacy-centric design, adapted “to a future with or without cookies or identifiers”. Among new features are:

👍🏻 Alert to significant trends in data as well as new predictive metrics like churn probability. Google is also working on implementing a metric of potential revenue from a particular group of customers;

👍🏻 Deeper integration with Google Ads and other Google’s products such as YouTube and Google Search;

👍🏻 Customer-centric measurement, instead of measurement fragmented by device or by platform;

👍🏻 Simplified and re-organized reports for a better understanding of the customer journey.

Instagram stated that Reels and IGTV would be monetised through direct sales of items from a video.

For example, if you like sneakers on the video, you no longer need to search for the model on Google or ask in the comments. Instagram itself will prompt the model and immediately offer to buy it.

In the future, algorithms will automatically detect clothing, devices, accessories, etc. And Instagram will offer to buy it without leaving the app and instantly paying for the purchase through Instagram checkout or the seller’s website.

New technology is now available for YouTube Stories allowing creators to reduce background noise in their videos. Now they can make their speech more clear and improve the quality of sound just in two clicks on the app.

The speech enhancement is one of the stages of Google's great work on Looking To Listen - a speech separation technology based on machine learning.

Facebook will no longer penalise ads with more than 20% of text in images.

According to previous Facebook's policy, ads with a lot of text in the picture were considered annoying to users and therefore did not undergo moderation or had significantly low reach.

Now this restriction has been removed, saving many advertisers from headaches. However, Facebook still recommends that the text should take up no more than 20% of the image since such ads perform better.

Trump delayed the ban and gave his blessing for the deal on how the TikTok app will work in the country:

📍 The company TikTok Global will be created in the United States to control how the app uses the Americans’ data;

📍 The company will be jointly managed by Oracle (12.5%), Walmart (7.5%) and ByteDance (80%) - the owner of TikTok;

📍 Oracle will monitor what ByteDance is doing with US user data;

📍 Intellectual property rights will remain with ByteDance. Americans will not have access to smart TikTok algorithms.

📍 TikTok Global will contribute $ 5 billion to the US treasury and set up a new education fund.

Google introduces a new metric for measuring conversions for YouTube video ads.

Engaged-view conversions (EVC) will allow advertisers to measure the conversions that happened within several days after someone had viewed 10 seconds or more of your skippable ad, but didn’t click on it.

To measure such conversions, View-through conversions (VTCs) metric was used before but Google believes that EVCs will be more accurate and clear and allow businesses to better estimate the impact of their video ads.
