I've always been into martial arts. I've done boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and now I do Jiu-Jitsu.

For me, it does three key things. It's great exercise, it helps me mentally to switch off from work and it provides me with a sense of camaraderie and social interaction.

No matter who you are, how successful you are or what you do in your work life, Jiu-Jitsu puts everyone on an equal playing field and I'm so grateful to be able to do it!

There are two common issues we see on websites when we're doing a technical audit. The first is people not optimising their video or imagery, i.e. using massive files that mean the site takes ages to load and impacts site speed.

The second is poor accessibility and UX for mobile. Mobile is the most commonly used device particularly on B2C websites. Don't get me wrong, we're not accessibility or UX experts, but we know a problem when we see one, and if people are struggling to navigate your site, it can have a huge impact on SEO.

Are we on the other side of the recession or is optimism just increasing because the weather is getting better?

From what I've noticed, there has been a slight bump in activity for many of our clients and for us as a business we're starting to get a few more leads. I've also talked to a few other agency owners who are saying similar things.

At this stage, the only thing I can say for sure is that I hope we are.

I believe that marketing is 90% a medium to long-term investment.

When I tell someone that marketing should be consistent or sustainable, what I'm saying is that investing in your marketing really should be for minimum 6 months (or better yet - 12 to 18 months) with a strategy and plan behind it.

It's not about running one meta ad, or one radio commercial or doing things in isolation. It's about finding that nice middle ground of only being mildly irritating, annoying or entertaining so that people will remember you 🙈

How much should you spend on Google Ads?

There is an answer, but unfortunately, it's not as straightforward as slapping a dollar figure on it.

The most important thing when starting the Google Ads journey is focusing on getting enough data into your ads account so it starts to learn what "good" is. And that can change from account to account.
