Fonts can evoke a reaction just as much as images.

Think about the Levi's font. How does this make you feel?

Or maybe fonts the banks use?

Are you Googling your bank now?

Soft, balanced fonts create feeling of approachability and friendly.

Bold, condensed fonts create feelings of strength and industry.

And these are just 2 out of a million.

Your font says more about your business than you think.

It's not something to overlook.

Yes, every great artist does.

Whether it's our mountain of design books or a Pinterest board, we definitely find visual inspiration.

Two reasons why.

1. Bringing together visuals quickly allows clients to understand the direction.
2. Getting creatives on the same page makes for a streamline process.

Little pieces of brilliance from others can spark brilliance in our own ideas.

Discussing visuals with actual visuals delivers clarity.

Whatever we hold on to is changed to align with the new parameters of the project.

That's why we call it inspiration.

So maybe not stealing exactly. We don't copy.

Pick a colour.

Then own it.

We have battled in the boardroom over combinations and unnecessary complexities.

One rule.

Keep it simple.

One or two colours max.

But when you have those colours. Own them.

Use them in a consistent manner. Don't have 80% of your website your brand colour one day, then it appears in an ad the next day at 20%.

Create guidelines and ensure .

Look at the biggest brands in the world and how they do it.

If we said McDonald's, Cadbury Dairy Milk or Tiffany & Co. you know what colour is associated.

And it's not because they posted about it once.

The colour is the main element in every brand experience with the customer.
