Ladies, Wine & a bit of Design - Auckland A courtyard conversation series inspired by Jessica Walsh and hosted by Dow Design for creative ladie

Jessica Walsh started Ladies, Wine & Design in New York after doing a lot of thinking and reading on why there are so few female Creative Directors. She believes we can create change through mentorship and championing each others' work. As a predominately female led creative company in Auckland, we are inspired by Jessica's global call for open conversations on design with a drop of wine. Auckland

has more than it's fair share of exceptionally creative women and it is our hope to bring us all together at Ladies, Wine & Design.

Ladies Wine Design was set up to foster a community that encourages and supports women in creative industries around the world. In light of the recent global Covid19 pandemic, and following the guidance given by the Government on group events, we have joined many of our fellow international LWD chapters and made the decision to postpone our LWD series this year until further notice. We are all disappointed, but the health of you all and our wider community is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we raise a toast to celebrate women everywhere. The theme of this year’s IW Day is ‘an equal world is an enabled world,’ and we join others round the globe in celebrating women’s achievements and in supporting increased visibility and representation towards creating a gender equal world.

With that in mind, we are excited to announce our theme for the 2020 Ladies Wine and Design Auckland series, celebrating and learning from women in leadership - “Success Stories from female senior leaders in business and design.”

This year, we will hear from 4 incredible women about their unique journeys to success; what it takes to run or own your own design business, and the steps they took to get to where they are today. Each talk will feature one speaker talking about their journey and an opportunity for you to pick their brain in the post talk Q&A.
