Rongomamau is NZ's very own Yoga/Tai Chi which also gives you practical tools on how to heal yourself, especially from nervous tension, grief and stress. It was forced to be passed down in secret in the early 1900s and now the knowledge is known to one remaining teacher - Umutakarangi Timoti Pahi.
I have managed to pursuade Umutakarangi to bring a special customised session of Nervous System Reset healing to us on the North Shore. On 31st May there is a Blue Moon and Umutakarangi has created a package of healing that will include a sauna in Murrays Bay whilst we watch the moon rise over the water.
If you are carrying stress, tension, exhaustion, grief and pressure - give yourself a gift this mothers day that you will be able to use for the rest of your life to feel stronger and more resilient!
Details:
Ihi Rangaranga: The Blue Moon Nervous System Reset is a 3.5-hour restorative experience combining salt cave meditation, somatic heat, beach sauna, ocean immersion, guided breath, sound, movement and deep body awareness.
At the heart of the experience is Rongomamau, New Zealand’s ancient answer to yoga, breathwork and somatic healing.
For more than 100 years, this practice was held quietly and kept out of public view. Now it is being carefully brought forward again by Umutakarangi Timoti Pahi, the sole living lineage holder and kaitiaki of Rongomamau.
Across the afternoon/evening, you will experience:
• A gentle introduction to Rongomamau as a wellbeing practice
• Breath, sound and movement for nervous system reset
• Salt cave guided meditation
• Somatic heat and elemental restoration
• Beach sauna and ocean immersion
• Maorooro, your own healing sound vibration
• Closing integration with your personal reflection toolkit
This experience is designed for mothers, business owners, leaders, carers and women who carry a lot, often quietly and often beautifully.
