Hi everybody, I have not posted anything about Golo for a while but I’ve noticed a lot of views happening every day.
So here’s an update...

Since lockdown forced the Gumboot Friday roadshow to stop in New Plymouth, the trailer was towed back to Auckland and parked up, where it has been parked up since.

I have a lot of confidence with the performance, especially as I towed it all the way to Bluff from Auckland, I learned and confirmed how well it performs on the road, in particular how well the hydraulic suspension handles. Mike King towed it back from Bluff and had the same glowing report.

Now, I’m regathering my thoughts and energy about the trailer and the business around it, the opportunities it opens up and how relevant it is post-covid.
I have been networking to ensure that the chassis and body can be fully manufactured in NZ, systemising and refining the build IP and techniques, securing the premises to manufacture and getting my head sorted.

I have approached the Ministry of Health and DHBs to look at the idea of using the trailers as Rapid Response Units for COVID community testing facilities that can be quickly deployed and set up where they are needed, without any fuss.

That’s just one idea, there’s loads of uses for an easy access, mobile flat platform capable of carrying a decent load and being a mobile billboard.

I suppose it’s not such a surprise with almost every event in NZ being canceled but I am really disappointed that the Gumboot Friday Tractor Trek has been called off, for the sake of the many volunteers participating, that their health and well-being are more important.

Yesterday, I received a message from gumboot clad Mike King, showing his appreciation for the Golo Trailer he is using for his awesome NZ roadshow, targetting to raise over $5million for the I AM HOPE charity

I’m pleased to announce that the Golo prototype trailer has been given to a very worthy charity to use for their roadshow from Bluff, all the way up the country to Cape Reinga, doing events throughout our beautiful country to raise awareness and to engage in su***de prevention...with Mike King and the awesome team behind him!

Just a quick update followers.
Since early 2019, there has been a dialogue and design collaboration between Golo and the well respected hospitality company Burns & Ferrall, in particular in regards to a cafe concept and a bakery concept.
Lots has been achieved throughout this time and Golo can now offer a full design service for mobile food trailer layouts, through joint venture partner B&F.
