A solid online presence to match the work ⚓

We designed and developed the website for DGI Morgan Marine, creating a clean, professional platform that reflects the scale and capability of what they do.

The focus was on making things easy to understand without overcomplicating it.
Clear navigation, strong visuals, and a layout that lets their services speak for themselves.

Shining a light on a quality West Coast business 🔨✨

We designed and developed the website for RP Smith Builders, a West Coast-based team doing quality work, now with an online presence to match.

Alongside the website, we also created their full brand identity, including logo design, business cards, corflute signage, a newspaper ad, ute graphics, and other supporting assets to keep everything consistent across the board.

For RP Smith Builders, a website is more than just a box to tick. It’s a chance to showcase their work, build trust, and reach the right people beyond word of mouth.

The focus was on keeping things clear and easy to navigate. Strong project showcases, simple structure, and a site that lets their workmanship speak for itself.

A great example of how the right branding and website can help a local business really shine 🌟

We designed and developed the website for Axiom Fencing, Balustrades & Gates, clean, confident, and built to reflect the level they operate at.

➡️ Clear structure.

➡️ No unnecessary noise.

The focus was simple: showcase their work, communicate what they do, and make it easy for the right clients to take the next step.

Did we really corrupt him 😂…

Swipe across to see Michael as a fresh faced 18 year old!

A couple of fun facts about Michael - our kick arse Lead Web Developer 🤙

Michael started with MoMac whilst still at High School and trying to decide whether to go back for year 13 or pursue his passion in web.

He was just 17 and it was the year 2019.

You know talent when you see it and he was definitely a child prodigy and destined for great things in web development. We were lucky to spot this talent early and jump on it.

Important to note - When we first met we didn’t actually have a job going at the time of meeting as we’d just filled a role for a junior developer but knew he was too good to let go so we created a role on the spot for him!

In the early days of MoMac working well into the evenings was a very common occurrence (before Ryan had kids) this worked perfectly for Michael who would finish school - come to the office in his school uniform and then get put to work by Tony Myers his early mentor. Dinner shouts were the thing with work usually finishing around 9pm 😂🌃

That move of creating a job turned out to be the right move, Michael completed his studies with top marks whilst also working at MoMac and in 2022 Michael officially became a partner in MoMac by investing and buying into the company. All before his 21st birthday and with cash he had saved up from working (this was not a small sum either and equivalent of a deposit for a house which made it so much more impressive for age). If you know Michael you will know his maturity is well beyond his age!

That early dedication and belief in not only the company and our clients - but most importantly himself is what makes him a true GC and all round superstar of MoMac!

We’re so lucky to have you a part of the team and a favourite is definitely your infectious energy and hype on the sauce 😂🤙

Keep being you! You rock Michael!

If you agree with us, make sure you show Micky P some love in the comments ⬇️

Meet Huzan 👋

We are excited to welcome Huzan Al-Jabawe to the MoMac team as our new Client Consultant.

Working alongside Lead Client Consultant .momac - Huzan is already making a strong impact. She brings great energy to the office, a people-first approach, and a genuine focus on listening and supporting our clients.

While she is new to the marketing industry, her background in sales and customer relationships shines through. She is learning quickly under Sam’s guidance and is focused on building strong, lasting connections with the people we work with.

If you see a new face around the office or hear from Huzan soon, be sure to say hello.

Welcome to the team, Huzan 👏💙

What’s so special about the whole golden hour 🌅🤔

Let’s start with the basics - Golden hour is the short window just after sunrise and just before sunset (usually a one hour window)

For someone not in the industry, here’s why it stands out:

The light is much much softer:
During golden hour, the sun is lower, so the light spreads out and feels softer.

Everything looks warmer:
The light has a natural golden tone. It adds warmth to skin, buildings, and landscapes without needing editing. It’s the kind of light that makes a place feel more inviting.

Shadows look better:
Instead of short, hard shadows under your eyes or nose, you get longer, softer shadows. This adds depth and shape without being distracting.

Colours come through more clearly:
The lower angle of the sun reduces glare and harsh contrast, so colours appear richer and more balanced.

It just feels better:
There’s a reason sunsets get attention. The light feels calm and easy on the eyes. That mood carries through in photos and video.

So while it might seem like hype, it’s really just about using the best natural light available ✌️

Hope that helps! We absolutely love the golden hour for shooting! This one is super recent - loving the Autumn colours as well 🍁🍂

Almost every season has it’s pros and cons for photography and videography.

Let us know in the comments if you have any questions.

A website designed to feel like an escape from the first click 🧘‍♀️🌿

We designed and developed the website for D&D Lodge, along with a custom logo inspired by their unique on-site signage, creating a brand and online experience that feels cohesive from arrival to booking.

The goal was to reflect the calm, understated luxury of the lodge itself. A rich maroon palette, elegant typography, and a layout that lets the Central Otago landscape do the talking.

We also integrated a seamless booking system, making it easy for guests to plan and secure their stay directly through the site.

A refined build that captures the experience and makes it effortless to take the next step 🤩

We nearly didn’t exist 🤯⬇️

A couple years back we took on the bold and risky move of rebranding MoMac.

When MoMac first started as a business in 2018 it was quite different to what we had become in 2022 (time of rebrand).

The very early days had mostly consisted of making videos and working with social media - hence the old video camera inspired logo and the tag line “MoMac Socialising Media” which was a play on Social Media and the focus area and platform we were working with. It also had the more traditional word “Media” attached which was the video and photo link. The “Socialising” word on its own was also a really important part of the experience which meant - to have fun in the process of making videos. More specifically for the clients - breaking down some potential fears of the camera and a reminder that the process should be fun and enjoyable.

Fun little fact - our legal business name is actually - MoMac Socialising Media Ltd. At the time we figured one way to protect the tag line was to build it and incorporate it into the legal trading entity 😅 Not sure this holds up but you have to be super resourceful when you’re a start up with little to no funds, and all ideas seem like good ideas at the time 😁

We are however very much proud of our roots and it’s something we decided to lean into during our rebranding process. We wanted Something that was uniquely us and not only told our story but also became a homing beacon for us. A reminder of our story and who we are - A gritty, resourceful upstart, not afraid of asking questions nor scared of taking risks, favouring leaning into the unknown and giving things a crack. This persona took on its own identity which became the MoMac mantra as we now know it today - Be Bold, Be Curious- Be Rebellious!

As you can see we’ve shared some of the designs that never had the chance to see the light of day but instead were tucked away - waiting for a day like today where we give you a sneak peak into our creative journey and process.

We really proud of the Logo we represent today but looking back we’re also really proud of the journey it took to get there 🥹🫶

Always a good time working with the team from Scope Group 🎥🤌

This job was up in a Picton and required the content team to fly up In the morning and return in the afternoon!

It’s always a cool site visit with Scope. There’s something inside us that just loves seeing things get demolished (the right context of course) it’s like when you do a reno and you get to put a hammer through the wall or kick something down. This is just on a massive scale and with bigger toys 😅🏗️⚒️

Thanks Scope team!
