The Prime Minister of Tooro Kingdom, Rt. Hon. Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire, accompanied by the Minister of Youth Affairs, Owek. Nicholas Mugume Amooti, today held a strategic meeting with Gen. Salim Saleh, the Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation, at Kapeeka.

The high-level engagement focused on critical issues of economic development, industrialization, wealth creation, and youth empowerment, all aimed at fostering sustainable growth and improving livelihoods within Tooro Kingdom and Uganda at large.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed opportunities for strengthening partnerships that can accelerate industrial growth, promote entrepreneurship, support value addition, and create meaningful employment opportunities for young people. They also explored practical approaches to enhancing skills development, innovation, and productive participation of youth in wealth-generating ventures.

Gen. Salim Saleh emphasized the importance of industrialization as a cornerstone of economic transformation, encouraging greater investment in productive sectors that can drive long-term prosperity and self-reliance among communities.

Rt. Hon. Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire reaffirmed Tooro Kingdom’s commitment to supporting initiatives that advance socio-economic development and empower the youth to become active contributors to the region’s growth and transformation. Owek. Nicholas Mugume Amooti highlighted the importance of equipping young people with the skills, opportunities, and mindset necessary to thrive in an increasingly competitive economy.

The meeting underscored a shared vision of building a prosperous and industrialized society through strategic collaboration, innovation, and youth-centered development programs.

Psalms has reportedly succumbed to cancer, despite the tireless efforts by the parents to restore his life.
