There have been a lot of mixed reviews surrounding these third-party platforms lately. We see all the advertisements about how great they are, but if that’s the case, why are so many providers choosing to leave?

I think a lot of providers feel like they need these companies to successfully run their private practices. But here’s the thing, you don’t. You don’t have to rely on a third-party platform to build a successful practice, and you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I help providers build, grow and strength their private practices. I’ve seen it first hand and I can help you get where you want to be.

Whether you’re planning to start your own private practice, transition to another organization, or stay right where you are, it’s important to know what information you have access to and how to obtain it.

Getting familiar with your CAQH, NPI, insurance enrollments, and Medicare/Medicaid information now can save you a lot of headaches down the road!

‼️ Attention providers in the 📍Appleton, WI area!

The idea would be for providers to have their own practices and rent office space, while operating together under one group Tax ID for insurance credentialing and billing purposes, making the credentialing process more streamlined. You keep what you make rather than paying a percentage of your income back to the practice.

As part of the arrangement, providers would also work with a dedicated practice consultant for a set monthly fee. This would be a required part of the model and could include credentialing, insurance enrollment, website creation/management, marketing, online profiles, caseload growth, workflows, and ongoing practice support. You focus on being the provider and seeing your clients while someone helps build and manage the business side with you.

Would this type of setup make starting or growing a private practice feel more attainable? Would you be interested in something like this?

Your schedule is filling up… now what? 👀

It can be tempting to immediately close your books when you’re feeling full, but I usually recommend thinking twice before doing that.

Private practice naturally ebbs and flows. Clients graduate from therapy, schedules change, cancellations happen, and some seasons are simply slower than others.

Instead of completely closing your schedule, consider starting a waitlist. It gives you people to reach out to when openings come up and helps you maintain momentum without constantly switching your availability back and forth across your website, Psychology Today, and insurance panels.

A full schedule is the goal, but so is keeping it full. 😉

A Google Business Profile is FREE and can help your practice appear in Google Search and Maps when someone is actively looking for services like yours.

Small changes to your online presence can make a BIG difference in getting your practice found. 🔍✨
