What happens when you step away from the work long enough to see it differently?

In May, kirpop founder Kirstin spent time at Castle Ivar in Hollywood for a writer’s retreat led by Chelsea Cain and Chuck Palahniuk.

That innovative experience created space to experiment, challenge assumptions, and grow as a writer. There was even impromptu collaborative music by John Moen of the Decemberists!

As she prepares for her next retreat, she’s reflecting on how important it is to make room for creative exploration, not just when inspiration strikes, but as part of the process itself.

Because growth doesn’t always come from doing more. Sometimes, it comes from stepping back, getting curious, and giving yourself permission to explore what’s next.

Milestones are worth celebrating — especially when they represent years of growth, purpose and impact.

This year, we’re celebrating seven years of kirpop. Along the way, we’ve also been proud to help clients commemorate milestones of their own, including Wasserman Talent Solutions, Pellicano Construction Company and Rival Entertainment

We’re grateful for every opportunity to bring these moments to life and tell the stories behind these incredible organizations.

Apparently, it takes about seven years for an avocado tree to reliably produce avocados.

Which means kirpop has officially reached the guacamole stage. 🥑

And seven years in, there’s a lot worth celebrating.

We’ve built a team we’re incredibly proud of. We’ve worked with clients who have trusted us with their brands, their businesses and some very big ideas. We were named one of the Cobb Chamber’s 2026 Top 25 Small Businesses of the Year. And we’re especially grateful for clients like RO Hospitality and Dirt Church Ceramics who have been with us since year one.

We’ve also made it through a pandemic, more social media changes than anyone should reasonably be expected to count, and the arrival of ChatGPT. So yes, we’ve seen some things.

Mostly, though, seven years has reminded us how lucky we are to get to do good work with good people.

To our clients, our team, our partners, our friends, our families and everyone who has supported kirpop along the way: thank you.

Now, somebody bring the chips. 🥑

Behind the scenes with a two-time Pacesetter. 🎥

We joined Wasserman Talent Solutions on set as the Atlanta Business Chronicle captured footage for this year’s Pacesetter Awards.

Wasserman Talent Solutions earned a spot on the Pacesetter list for the second year in a row, recognizing the company as one of Atlanta’s fastest-growing privately held businesses. We were there to support our client through the shoot, keep things moving behind the scenes and, of course, cheer them on from just off camera.

A pretty great reason to get out of the office. 👏

In a world where we can’t seem to agree on much, we could agree on Dolly Parton.

For decades, Dolly stayed unmistakably Dolly. The hair. The rhinestones. The humor. The songs. But what made her beloved went far beyond a personal brand.

She gave millions of children books through her Imagination Library. She supported medical research, disaster relief and communities in need. She used the platform she built to do a whole lot of good.

And somehow, through changing generations, changing tastes and changing culture, she never seemed to chase relevance. She just kept showing up as herself, making people laugh, making people feel something and leaving things a little better than she found them.

There’s probably a lesson in there for all of us.

Be yourself. Stay curious. Do good work. Do some good while you’re at it.
