May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to recognize the incredible work of Cobb Collaborative.

Kirstin is proud to serve on their board, and one of the organization’s key pillars is mental health, because mental health affects all of us.

Through its Mind Your Mind initiative, Cobb Collaborative helps raise awareness, reduce stigma, promote resilience, and connect individuals, families, youth, caregivers, and professionals with practical mental health resources.

The numbers matter:
1 in 5 U.S. adults experiences mental illness.
Only 51% of people with a mental health condition receive treatment.
1 in 6 youth ages 6-17 experiences a mental health disorder.

But the work matters even more.

We’re grateful for organizations like Cobb Collaborative that create space for honest conversations, community support, and hope.

It’s official.

Today is El Chalupa Cabra Day.

Did we make this up? Yes.
Is that basically how half the internet’s holiday calendar works? Also yes.

But unlike National Paperclip Day, this one comes with a slightly chaotic mascot, strong judgmental cat energy, and a marketing lesson:

A “holiday” only works when people have a reason to care.

Apparently, we are all living in Maycember now.

For the uninitiated, Maycember is that very specific end-of-school-year chaos where May suddenly decides to cosplay as December. Teacher gifts. Graduations. Recitals. Field days. Final projects. Sports banquets. Summer camp panic. Random forms that were apparently due yesterday.

Social media did what social media does best: gave a wildly specific feeling a name, handed it a hashtag, and suddenly everyone went, “WAIT. YES. THAT.”

And that is the marketing lesson.

Sometimes the thing that catches fire is not a new idea. It is a familiar feeling finally said out loud in a way people can repeat.

That is why language matters.

A good phrase can turn “I am overwhelmed” into a shared cultural moment.

A good hook can turn chaos into content.

A good name can make people feel seen.

So yes, Maycember is exhausting. But from a marketing standpoint?

Chef’s kiss.
