Watching the devastating flooding videos coming out of Nepal made me wonder: just how massive was the glacier that helped trigger this catastrophic event? 🏔️🌊

So I decided to make a short documentary exploring what happened and the incredible scale of the glacier involved.

Still have mixed feelings about using AI agents for video creation.

Even when you start with a well-thought-out, detailed prompt, handing over so much creative control to AI—letting it choose the models, generate the images, and build the video sequences—is still a hard pill for me to swallow.

For this test, I went with a documentary-style short telling the story of Hannibal’s Crossing of the Alps.
Claude sonnet 5 model utilized to build everything.

Used
Magica magica_ai’s AI agent, which utilized GPT-2 and Seed Dance 2.0. I selected the 480 output quality. The video cost 12 million credits, which is nuts. 😳

I chose to do the narration myself and mixed, edited, and finalized everything in Adobe Premiere Pro.

I still prefer having a hands-on approach to every aspect of a project, but this was a fun experiment.

Let's just say it inspired me to animate the moment. 😅

No AI was used—just Adobe Animate and Adobe video tools.

Happy 270th Birthday, Maryland! 🎉🦀

For this video, I used an instrumental version of Maryland, My Maryland (1939) from Archive.org.

While putting this together, I learned something I never knew—our official state song was repealed in 2021, and Maryland currently doesn't have an official state song.

Anyway... here's to 270 years of Maryland history. Happy Birthday, Maryland! ❤️💛🖤
