Today we celebrate freedom.

Juneteenth marks the day when the last enslaved Americans learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It stands as a reminder that freedom delayed is still worth fighting for, and that justice must reach every person, not just exist on paper.

As a soldier, attorney, and candidate for judge, I believe the promise of justice means little if people cannot access it, trust it, or see it applied fairly.

We honor those who endured.

We honor those who pushed our nation closer to its ideals.

And we recommit ourselves to building communities where fairness, accountability, compassion, and efficiency are more than words. They are principles people can count on.
