Earlier this month, Housing Louisiana held the People’s Constitutional Convention, bringing people from across Louisiana together to think beyond today and ask an important question:

What kind of Louisiana do we want to leave behind in 2076?

Throughout the day, participants engaged in conversations around economic development, affordable housing, education, constitutional engagement, and the power citizens have to organize and advocate for the future they want to see.

Compassion Design, alongside our creative partners at Mishawn Lolis | LA Photographer had the opportunity to capture the day through photography and videography—preserving the conversations, collaboration, and people behind this important work.

A special thank you to Synergy Network for allowing Compassion Design to be a part of this experience and entrusting our team to help document the story.

We also extend our appreciation to Andreanecia M. Morris Residents Organized for HousingLOUISIANA and the entire Housing Louisiana team for creating a space where Louisiana citizens could learn, collaborate, ask tough questions, and think intentionally about the next 50 years.

A few faces behind the WORK. 💚💙

We didn’t get the full Volunteer Department group picture because we were WERKING, honey! 🤣 But Sonya's Creations LLC did catch a few of our crew in action.

From checking volunteers in, answering questions, keeping departments supported, troubleshooting on the fly and making sure 200+ volunteers had what they needed to serve well, this team WORKED.

To the entire Volunteer Department crew, pictured or not, we SEE YOU. We APPRECIATE YOU. AND we THANK YOU!

Yesterday, we did it again. 💙💚

We’re grateful to play our role.

As Volunteer Coordinator for Love Impact Coalition, it is an absolute pleasure to help facilitate 200+ volunteers each clinic and be part of the preparation that happens long before the doors open.

From our team sending texts and responding to online inquiries, to organizing volunteers, preparing materials, ensuring every volunteer has a meal ticket 😉, designing T-shirts and handling all the little details that help make the volunteer flow seamless, the work behind the scenes matters.

And a BIG shout-out to our Volunteer Department crew! We didn’t even get a group picture because we were WERKING, honey! 🤣💚💙 But you know who you are, and I’m incredibly grateful for each of you. You jumped in, figured it out, kept things moving and served wherever you were needed.

Then we get to watch 200+ volunteers show up and SERVE. That makes every detail worth it.

Grateful to continue using our gifts to help Love Impact make an IMPACT.

This is what exposure looks like.

We were honored to capture this conversation with Dr. Olga Bolden-Tiller, Dean of the College of Agriculture, Environment, and Nutrition Sciences at Tuskegee University, during the 2026 Imagination Leads HBCU Tour.

These are the moments that matter.

Young people had the opportunity to see that agriculture today is drones, agricultural robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and innovation designed to help feed the world. They also experienced Tuskegee’s historic aviation legacy firsthand through flight simulation and a look inside the mechanics of aviation.

This is why Imagination Leads creates these experiences. When our youth are exposed to what’s possible, they can begin to imagine themselves in spaces, careers and industries they may have never considered before.

And for our Compassion Design team, capturing these moments means preserving more than content. We’re documenting exposure, opportunity and the possibilities being placed in front of the next generation.
