Meet Angela! 👋🏼 💜
Angela is the Co-Owner and Executive Editor of Manski Media. We asked her some questions about her role, experience, and passions, and here were her responses 👇🏼
You have been in several roles within the company since its start over seven years ago! Which is your favorite?
“My favorite role to play on any team is the encourager and support role. However, I also love being the last set of eyes to see all the creative assets our team puts together before delivering to our clients. It gives me a chance to build up team members, adjust or fix mistakes, and wrap up the project with a bow.”
You’re also a part-time Middle School Teacher. How do your skills as a teacher transfer to your role as a business owner/Editor?
“We’re all kids, just some of us are more mature than others. 🤣 Once an English Teacher, always an English Teacher. I’ve always been a lover of words, and there’s a lot of crossover between my two jobs in that department. My eyes naturally catch errors, whether it’s a misspelled word or improper punctuation. Manski Media was born from my natural skill sets in writing and artistic abilities and enhanced by my husband’s brilliance in sales and marketing strategy. However, I believe my true superpower lies within what few people really see firsthand. I hold space for others to process, am a part of every conversation leading to decisions my husband makes as the Co-Owner and CEO, and an encouraging voice that builds up and strengthens others. I have poured years of my life into playing the support role behind the scenes and it’s honestly my favorite. Whether I’m in the classroom or in the office, I love being a voice that builds others up and believes the best in and for them.”
One last question (for now): what’s something you cannot stand?
“Frozen peas. 🤢 They’re mushy, chalky, and disgusting. I consider good food to be a love language. 😂 Besides that, on a more personal level, those who are purposefully unkind to others. Nothing drives me up a wall and brings out my protective rage quite like witnessing an unkind, hurtful exchange.”
