Nothing was going to plan when I sat down to record today.

And I nearly gave up for the day to wait for a “better time.”

But my morning had already shown me pretty clearly that if I kept waiting for the perfect moment, I’d be waiting forever.

So I did it anyway. Imperfect setup, imperfect headspace, the whole 9 yards.

And here’s the counterintuitive part: showing up as a real human who understands exactly what your clients are thinking and feeling builds likeability and trust faster than the perfectly polished version of you ever will.

So while my example about creating content, this is your reminder that it applies to literally everything in your life and business that you’re waiting for the right moment for ✨

A quarter of a million monthly impressions, plus incredible social growth and engagemetn is something we’re insanely proud of.

But when I asked this client why she stays, she didn’t mention a single number.

She talked about feeling of having someone truly in her corner and the energy we show up with.

Your results get clients in the door. The relationship you cultivate is why they stick around.

24 hours after our strategy session and my client wanting to sign luxury travel partners, she started having strategic sponsorship conversations with a private jet company.

Impressive? Yes.

But that’s not what I’m most proud of.

The bigger moment was in the session itself. She came in with enormous dreams and zero clarity on how to get there. We mapped it out step by step. And somewhere in that conversation, something shifted.

She stopped seeing her goals as out of reach and started seeing that everything she had already built was exactly the foundation that was going to make people say yes to her.

That’s the win that actually compounds.

Not just the private jet collab, but the confidence that she belongs in that room and knows how to get herself there.

So, sure, as a marketing agency, we help our clients achieve big, flashy results. But, we’ve realized that they come a lot faster when you have someone in your corner who can help you both map the path AND remind you that you’re already ready for it.

Might sound woo woo to some, but that’s the duality and winning combination that revolutionizes the way our clients go to market.

If you’re a service provider, coach, or consultant who has big goals but keeps getting stuck between the vision and the first step, this is what that kind of support actually looks like.

I asked a client why she choose us and stayed.

She didn’t mention results or deliverables or anything I would have guessed.

She talked about how I make her feel.

The energy I try to temper. My speed that a manager made into “a thing” in my early twenties.

Ultimately it was the parts of me I’ve spent years trying to dial back that made her feel most taken care of.

So, if you’ve ever felt like you have to be someone else to market and sell yourself, this one’s for you 💕

Your competitor can *technically* do what you do.

But that’s almost never why clients actually choose you.

What makes people hire you, stay with you, and send their friends to you is almost always something you can’t put in a service menu.

It’s the feeling of not having to think about things anymore.

The ease of working with someone who just gets it. And gets them.

The call that ends and leaves them feeling clearer than before.

Those intangibles aren’t soft. They’re your actual competitive advantage. And most service providers barely even mention them.

My client has a copycat competitor, which is obviously annoying.

But when someone asks Google AI, ChatGPT or Claude to recommend the best [your service] nearby, they don’t reward reputation, social proof, expertise, and a website that knows how to play nicely with crawlers.

(Something copycats can’t take from you)

It’s called GEO and it’s the biggest opportunity established service businesses are sleeping on right now.
Your history and tenure are already doing the work. Now you just need to make sure it’s findable.

I’ve been in business long enough to see copycats steal aesthetics and services, but know they can’t steal actual essence.

Thankfully, they can never to take your reputation, your community, your social proof/reviews/etc., or your expertise.

Here’s a real life example of something a client’s experiencing.

But the real key is: Do you know how to leverage those pieces of your business to make your marketing work harder for you and prove you’re the original?

How-to coming in part 2! (Or tune into the full episode on my podcast, EntrepreneurShift)

We know how to handle clear yes’s and clear no’s, but what about the strong maybe’s?

The things I learned from this experience:

1. I have to listen to the subtle inner voices as much as the loud ones

2. Once I decide, I get to choose what that means for me and the business

After all, what is entrepreneurship if we’re not navigating the scary, uncomfortable moments?

The stories you’re telling yourself are the backseat driver to your marketing.

**Whether you like it or not**

> How you show up
> How consistently you post
> What you talk about
> Who you reach out to

It all flows from what you’ve decided your thoughts and feelings mean about it.

Change the story. And the results follows.

06/05/2026

Lately I’ve been asking myself (and I’ve been hearing from friends who own businesses) “Do I still want this?” more than I’d like to admit.

I didn’t say it out loud for a while because it felt like saying it made it a death sentence for my business.

But here’s what I’ve landed on: the doubt isn’t the problem. It’s information.

For me, I think it means that I’ve outgrown some things.

> This specific chapter of my business
> The way I work
> The expectations of myself that don’t fit, but I still carry

So, if you’re anything like me, I don’t think that these thoughts and feelings necessarily mean that you’re done.

They just mean that something’s shifting.

You’re not falling out of love. You’re growing out of a version that no longer fits…and into something better.

And I promise, you’re not as alone in it as you might feel that you are.
