I really love how these invitations turned out 🦢
It’s one of those designs where all the little details just work together.

The exact shade of ink, the paper texture, the typography, the tones. Every choice contributes to the overall feeling the couples I work with and I want to create.

And when you’re designing a wedding invitation suite that will probably be kept forever, those details matter.

When the wax seal becomes and extension of the logo.

Part 1 of the invitations bonnefete.atelier commissioned me to design for an intimate dinner party they hosted last night.

Their brand palette revolves around burnt orange, burgundy and silver which became the starting point for the stationery.

I loved developing this concept and finding ways to bring their brand to life on paper.

My first love was design. Then I got obsessed with making paper.

It’s funny because I spent years obsessing over what goes on the paper, only to eventually become obsessed with the paper itself.

It’s imperfect, no two sheets are exactly the same and that’s the whole point. Basically the opposite of everything my graphic designer brain was trained to want.

And maybe that’s why I love it so much.

Couples often come to me with a strong sense of what they love: a place, an atmosphere, an image, a feeling, sometimes an entire visual world.

I take all of that in, pull out what catches my eye, and let it become the starting point for the wedding invitation design.

From there, I like to leave room for intuition, experimentation and the unexpected, through typography, form, paper and texture.

Every project is different, but my perspective is always part of it.

That’s what I love most about bespoke wedding invitations.
