From 2022 to 2023, Bunker Design House led the adaptive reuse of the historic Jones Building, a three-story commercial landmark in the heart of Downtown Canton.

Originally built more than 125 years ago, the project included complete interior demolition, strategic space planning, and a full interior architectural and MEP fit-out, reimagining the building for modern use while preserving the character that makes it an important part of Canton's history.

Historic buildings deserve thoughtful design, and we're proud to have helped write the next chapter of the Jones Building.

We’ve been so busy working our magic that we almost forgot to share this fun transformation for our neighbors at the Canton Theatre! ✨

The theater’s beautiful Art Deco-inspired architecture deserved bathrooms that felt just as intentional. The original space lacked the character and charm found throughout the rest of the building, so we set out to create something worthy of the experience.

We leaned into bold, moody wallpaper, timeless black and white flooring, warm brass accents, and elegant lighting to bring the space to life. Every detail was selected to complement the theater’s historic charm while giving guests a memorable experience from the moment they walk through the door.

Even the smallest spaces can make a lasting impression!

Surrounded by Light provides an ever changing array of colorful light stands in limited editions for photo and video professionals and enthusiasts.

In many eastern cultures and traditions the three legged crow is a symbol of the sun (see: light) and guidance. And they’re black. Like almost all other light stands. And they have three legs. Like a light stand. Yall see where I’m going with this.
