Finally, radio listeners get some assurance they deserve to know that AM Radio, and the future of FM Radio, will remain FREE and available in all vehicles.

Please urge your Senators to support this measure and get this passed. The president has said he will sign it. Without this assurance, free radio could disappear from your vehicles and listeners would be at the mercy of Big Tech and Streaming platforms (all of which charge, or will charge, fees for music consumption). Not to mention the vital role local, free radio plays on protecting our public during emergencies. National Association of Broadcasters Iowa Broadcasters Association

The House passed the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, sending the bipartisan mandate to a Senate calendar squeezed by midterm recess.

Congratulations to our news leaders of Coloff Media, for the well deserved recognition from the IBNA (Iowa Broadcast News Association).

Janelle Tucker of KMCH Radio won top honors in Overall Excellence, the top overall news coverage honor for all radio stations in Iowa. She was also recognized with a 3rd place in Overall Reporting.

Luke Kies of KMAQ Radio Station received a 3rd place finish in the Public Affairs category.

Jim Coloff presented each with a check as Coloff Media provided a cash bonus for winners as a way to recognize the dedicated and talented news staff of our media company.
