We're proud to celebrate Note in the Pocket - Durham, recipient of Durham Magazine's fourth annual Social Impact Award! This Triangle-based nonprofit has delivered clothing with dignity and love to more than 75,000 people since 2013, providing outfits for 11,000-plus individuals across Durham and Wake counties in 2025 alone.
Several TMP team members recently joined a volunteer shift sorting and inspecting donations. It's a small way to support a mission that changes lives one garment at a time.
"How we show up in the world as people is the foundation for what we believe is possible," says Durham volunteer Monique N. Cotelough. "For young people – kids, children, teens – Note in the Pocket is an avenue to that confidence."
