Introverts don't just belong in marketing, they're often the ones doing the most thoughtful, effective, lasting work in it.
The myth that marketing requires you to be extroverted and "always on" has kept a lot of genuinely talented people from stepping into this field with confidence. And it's just not true.
Marketing at its core is about understanding people, telling meaningful stories, and building trust over time. The deep listening, careful word choice, and ability to observe what others overlook are skill assets in the industry.
Now, are some things harder? Yes. Networking events can be exhausting. On-camera content can feel unnatural at first. Pitching yourself out loud takes practice. We're not going to sugarcoat that.
But hard is not the same as impossible. And none of those things determines whether you belong here.
