This client came to me with one thing already decided: her logo.
It had already been sent to manufacturing. So changing it wasn’t really an option.
But a logo isn’t a brand, and it definitely isn’t enough to tell me what the rest of the brand should look, sound, or feel like.
So before we touched colors, typography, packaging, photography direction, or any of the other pieces that would eventually make up her visual world, we started with strategy.
We built out her positioning, messaging, vision, goals, ideal customer, and the feeling she wanted someone to have when they experienced the brand.
Once I understood where the brand was going, I could figure out how to take the one asset we already had and build an entire world around it.
And this is exactly why I believe founders need more than someone who can make things look good.
When you have a strategic advisor + creative partner who understands the bigger picture, we can take one small piece—a logo, an idea, a product, a vision—and ask:
What could this become?
Then we build everything around that answer.
That’s the difference between creating assets and building a brand. ⚡️
