Another great milestone for The PIO Calendar.

Search engines are now the #1 way visitors are finding the resource.

That means communicators aren’t just coming across training opportunities — they’re actively looking for ways to learn, improve, and prepare.

Making professional development easier to find strengthens the entire communications community.

A pretty exciting milestone for The PIO Calendar!

For the first time, search engines are now the #1 source of referrals to the website.

That means communicators aren’t just seeing posts about upcoming opportunities — they’re searching for training, conferences, webinars, and resources and finding the calendar.

That was the mission: make professional development easier to find.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted events, shared opportunities, and helped grow this resource for the PIO community.

PDR Strategies is proud to share that our founder, Paul Raymond, Jr., has published a new article in the American Correctional Association's Corrections Today titled, “First 90 Days, First Impressions: The Corrections Communicator’s Role During Leadership Transitions.”

With 39 gubernatorial elections taking place in 2026, many state correctional agencies across the country may soon experience executive leadership transitions.

This article explores the critical role communications professionals play during those periods of change, particularly during the first 90 days when trust, stability and organizational culture are often being established in real time.

Thank you to Corrections Today for the opportunity to contribute to this important discussion within the profession.

Leadership begins with compassion.

Today, we celebrate the mothers and mother figures whose love, strength, patience, and resilience help shape the people and communities around them every day.

So many of the qualities we admire in great leaders are first taught through the example set by moms — often quietly, consistently, and without recognition.

Happy Mother’s Day from PDR Strategies. 💙
