Introducing Rochester by Water, formerly known as Corn Hill Navigation!

For more than three decades, this Rochester-area mainstay has helped visitors from around the world experience "the Flower City" by way of the Erie Canal and Genesee River.

As they saw their programs expand, audiences diversify, and impact grow, Corn Hill Navigation knew it was time for a revamp — an updated name and image that properly connected their work to their community and the waterways that define it.

Paperkite partnered with the Corn Hill Navigation team to develop a brand that clearly reflected the organizations' vast efforts. From that collaboration Rochester By the Water, was born. Through bold and prominent signage that increases visibility to thoughtful design that enhances the visitor experience, Paperkite was proud to cultivate a new identity for this long-respected and much loved local institution.

Meet Paperkite's Director of Operations, Veronica!

Veronica joined Paperkite in 2015 as one of our earliest team members, bringing with her lots of experience from working at a larger firm in Peru. When we needed administrative organization and infrastructure to guide our creative visions, Veronica delivered with flying colors!

And while Paperkite has grown its staff to 20, Veronica still enjoys collaborating with a close-knit and focused team. Knowing each other so well translates to efficient and effective strategies on every campaign.

What an incredible few days in Utica for the 2026 New York State Tourism Industry Association Conference! 🗽✨

There’s nothing quite like the energy of the New York tourism community coming together for three days of learning, collaboration, and inspiration. This year, we headed to Oneida County to explore the trends shaping the future of our industry while connecting with the wonderful destinations that make our state so special.

One of our favorite parts of this annual event is the Immersion Experiences. Every year, the host city treats attendees to tours that showcase the unique flavor of the area, and Utica did not disappoint! We had a blast getting out of the conference rooms to tour: The stunning Munson and the amazing facilities and animal friends at The Root Farm .

Back at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Utica , we were busy meeting new faces, catching up with old friends, and soaking up insights from the powerful keynote sessions.

Thank you to the New York State Tourism Industry Association and Oneida County Tourism for being such phenomenal hosts and showing us why this region is one of the fastest-growing in the state!
