Someone asked me the other day, **“Why do you have another business now called OptiMax Works?”**
It was a great question, and the answer really comes down to something I’ve seen repeatedly throughout my career: **small business owners deserve better support.**
I started **Wright Strategy Services** more than two years ago after spending years in my previous career seeing a gap in the marketplace. Small business owners were investing in marketing and advertising, but many didn’t have someone helping them look at the bigger picture, build a strategy, and make sure all those moving pieces were actually working toward the same goal.
WSS was created to fill that gap.
But over the past two years of working closely with business owners, I began noticing another gap. And in many ways, this one was even more important because it sits underneath everything else we do in marketing:
**Their digital foundation.**
A business can have a great marketing strategy, but if its website isn’t properly optimized, its Google Business Profile isn’t performing, its online listings are inconsistent, its local visibility is weak, or its digital assets aren’t working together, we’re trying to build marketing on top of a foundation that isn’t as strong as it should be.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve also been fortunate to build relationships with other business owners and vendors whose knowledge and expertise complement my own. One of those relationships led to many conversations about this exact problem and, eventually, a realization:
**We could build the solution together.**
And that is how **OptiMax Works** was born.
OptiMax Works and Wright Strategy Services don’t compete with each other. They solve two different pieces of the same larger puzzle.
**OptiMax Works builds and strengthens the digital foundation.**
**Wright Strategy Services builds the marketing strategy and direction on top of it.**
Because when the foundation is strong and thriving, everything you build on top of it has a much better chance to work.
For me, both businesses came from the same place: listening to small business owners, recognizing where they’re struggling, and asking, **“How can we solve this better?”**
Sometimes the answer is to improve what already exists.
And sometimes the answer is to build something new.
