Ok, so this is not a great picture of me 😂 but I really loved this travel outfit and here’s why:
- the jacket is a lightweight, water resistant nylon fabric and had tons of style, the back is really cool. I actually received several compliments from random women at the airport and throughout the weekend 🙌🏼
- the jeans were SUPER comfy. They’re stretchier than I normally wear but actually didn’t lose their shape too much
- the sneakers were very comfortable but didn’t feel boring. They also gave me a tiny lift while maintaining the lower profile look that’s in right now.
- I love this bag! The size is perfect and comes with a little pouch that I can remove and just use as a wristlet
- I’ll admit that I bought the belt after the trip because I felt the jeans needed a belt. Not to hold them up, but more to finish the look. So here I’ve added the belt that I bought once I got home

Travel outfits can be challenging because I don’t like to look shlumpy but also want to be comfortable. This one hit the mark 🎯

Houston’s version of Spring lasts about 20 days and then we’re right into Summer. Houston summers are HOT and I don’t wear shorts. Linen or lightweight cotton pants and dresses are a staple of my summer wardrobe.

Here’s a variation on the tie-neck blouse & trouser jean outfit I posted recently. Normally, when I wear a scarf, I end up feeling like a flight attendant, but this method utilizing a men’s four-in-hand tie knot feels like me. I’ve included a how-to tutorial on the next slide. What do you think? Will you give it a try? Btw, the scarf is from It’s timeless and luxurious and I know I’m going to have it for a long long time. Alternative to the tie-neck blouse outfit I posted previously. Normally, when I try to wear a scarf, I end up feeling like a flight attendant ✈️ but this men’s four-in-hand method feels like me. I’ve included a little “how-to” on the second slide. The scarf is from It’s timeless and luxurious and I know I’ll have it for a long, long time. This is an outfit I wore to a client this week and I’m wearing two styles that I have always loved- a tie-neck blouse and trouser jeans. I could wear a variation of this look every day and be perfectly happy 😊 If you’re also a fan, click on the link in my bio for the details on these pieces and other recommendations. My jeans are from and for reference, I have a short rise. So the 10.5” rise, mid rise on most people, is a high rise on me.
