Creative Dolan Design Studio Little Studio...Big Ideas! Hello, My name is Mary Dolan, owner of CreativeDolan Design Studio.

I am truly passionate about what I do, and I believe that passion is reflected in my work every day. My journey in graphic design began in 2006 when I set out to create a design company that could move with me—adapting to new locations as my life took me from state to state. As a military spouse, I quickly realized the challenges of securing a position at a traditional design firm. Despite a stron

g portfolio, potential employers were hesitant to hire someone who would relocate in just a few years. Determined to continue doing what I love, I began taking on freelance projects, often working with small businesses. In the beginning, I sometimes designed simply for the joy of it, but as demand grew, I started charging clients based on their budgets. Before I knew it, I had built a loyal client base, and my business was born. From the start, my focus has never been solely on profit, but rather on design and people. I built this company with a purpose—to provide high-quality, accessible design solutions to businesses that need them most. In my first year, I found that many of my clients were local “Mom and Pop” shops—business owners who needed a designer that was responsive, honest, reputable, and budget-friendly. To this day, I remain dedicated to supporting small businesses because they are the foundation of my success. Their passion and commitment to their work inspire me, and I am honored to help bring their visions to life through thoughtful, strategic design.

Some of the trade show displays I designed this month. These are mock-ups, but they closely reflect how the final displays will look once produced and assembled.

Look what arrived!!!
I had the honor of designing the cover for The Winning Leadership Playbook: The Pete Rose Way, and seeing the final printed copy in my hands is such a proud moment.

What makes it even more special? Pete Rose played for the Phillies-and as someone who grew up in the Philadelphia area, this project felt like a little nod back to home. ❤️⚾️

Huge thank-you to Mark Calitri and Dr. Larry Bobbert for trusting me with their vision.

I’m thrilled to have played a part in Ohio’s America 250 celebration — a statewide, multi-year commemoration highlighting the impact of all 88 counties on our nation’s story.

For this project, I designed Clermont County’s History & Museum Passport and its corresponding stamps for each site. The passport guides visitors through the county’s most significant historical societies and museums, inviting them to explore, collect, and celebrate each location’s unique contribution to Ohio’s heritage.

Such a rewarding project to be part of! ❤️

Well, it finally happened. I’ve joined the dark side—I mean, Adobe Creative Cloud.

After 12 solid years of clinging to my beloved, creaky, once fully-paid-for Adobe CS6 like it was the last floaty on the Titanic, I’ve finally admitted… Creative Cloud is better. Like, way better.

Turns out, technology does move forward, and maybe, just maybe, my “if it ain’t broke, don’t upgrade it” philosophy wasn’t as cutting-edge as I thought.

RIP CS6. You served me well… mostly. 💻

A few weeks ago, I wrapped up a tradeshow display design for PhaseTwo’s Aspire 2025 booth in Singapore—and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out! Designing large-scale pieces like this always comes with a bit of nervous excitement, especially when printing overseas. Without the usual proofing process, there’s always that small worry about dimensions or final output. But seeing everything come together perfectly is the best feeling. Grateful for the opportunity and proud of the result!

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. Pope Francis was a shepherd of compassion, love, and mercy in a world too often clouded by confusion, anger and division. May his soul find peace in the presence of the One he so faithfully served.

Cabinet card from a Jimmie Marshall that is hand signed. The card is from the "Le Petit Cabaret" act at the Palace Theatre in London (1913). The card says: "Best wishes to Miss Townsend. Sincerely, Jimmie Marshall (1913)" I wasn't able to find any information on Mr. Marshall unfortunately, only that Le Petit Cabaret translates to "The Little Cabaret", which was a show featuring singing and dancing, with a focus on a more intimate and personal experience. I will continue researching Jimmie Marshall to see if anything new pops up online or in newspaper articles.
