Join us in wishing Diane Cahill, Founder and CEO of Cahill Strategies, a very happy birthday!
This month, we're celebrating two milestones at once: Diane's birthday and 10 years of helping clients navigate government, politics, and industry across New York State and beyond.
Before we look ahead to what's next, it felt right to look back at how it all began.
Diane's path wasn't a straight line, and that's exactly what makes it hers. She started her career working at law firms on Long Island, learning early how business and government intersect and how to navigate both. That grounding carried her into the labor movement, where she began combining government relations with communications on behalf of workers, eventually building a Workforce Development Center from the ground up and leading it as Executive Director for the Long Island Region.
Somewhere along the way, the work became personal. For more than two decades, Diane has advocated for children and adolescents with special needs and their families, becoming one of the region's most trusted voices in the autism community, work that helped pass landmark autism insurance reform and companion BCBA licensure legislation in New York State.
By 2016, she had the relationships, the reputation, and the resolve to bring it all together. Cahill Strategies was born, built to give clients the same combination of strategy and heart that had defined Diane's career up to that point.
The recognition followed: Long Island Business News' Top 50 Women in Business, City & State's Political Power 75, NYREJ's Ones to Watch, and more. But ask anyone who's worked with her, and they'll tell you the accolades were never the point β the work was.
Ten years later, that's still true. Happy birthday, Diane β thank you for building something worth celebrating, twice over.
