Traction Factory

Traction Factory We have the world’s shortest mission statement: MOMENTUM. It’s the inspiration behind our name. It’s what drives us.

Client companies need a business partner capable of understanding and being immersed in all aspects of their business. An agency’s true value is evidenced in the fact that a client meeting of any importance on any significant topic related to the business enterprise would not happen without the agency being seated at the table.

“I want to work with an agency partner that really knows my brand an

d my business top-to-bottom. They need to bring a problem-solving attitude along with killer work. The shop will get the high-level branding part and because they aren’t afraid to get dirty they’ll also know how to make the brand live in every aspect of my business. Often that means their responsibilities will extend well beyond advertising.”

Traction Factory is that agency.

May is National ALS Awareness Month.

A decade ago, we partnered with John and Deanna Jaeckel to support a walk in Hayward, WI, benefiting individuals in Wisconsin who were impacted by an ALS diagnosis. Don Sheehan and his family joined the effort several years later.

Both John and Don were themselves diagnosed with ALS. John, a teacher and football coach, and Don, a law enforcement officer, spent their careers making Hayward a better, safer place.

The Walk was intended to rally the community and shine a light on what John and Don being diagnosed with ALS could mean to Hayward, a town of 2,500 people. Ever since, the community has rallied — raising more than $500,000 to benefit the patients and families facing this horrific and always-fatal disease.

We’re honored to have been a partner in this fight, creating work that reflects the power of a community that continues to step up and support two of its own.

Six new awards. Fifty-two total awards over the past 13 consecutive years.

That’s not a streak, it’s a track record.

At the 32nd Annual Communicator Awards, Traction Factory was once again recognized by the Academy of Interactive Visual Arts — this time out of 3,000-plus global entries.

We’re proud to announce that we earned six awards in the 2026 show. Consistent, independent validation that the work we create thoughtfully with our clients doesn’t just look good — it disrupts. It performs.

This year’s winning entries represent work created alongside Snap-on Tools, the Milwaukee Admirals, ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis, Delta Diner, the Milwaukee Fire Department, and Olmsted Medical Center.

Different challenges. Consistent results.

As part of our ongoing partnership with the Milwaukee Admirals and ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis , we were honored to present Power Play Donations (matched by the Admirals through the Power Play Foundation) to Ashley and Megan from ABCD this past weekend when the Ads beat the Chicago Wolves to clinch a playoff spot.

ABCD provides free and confidential support to all those affected by a breast cancer diagnosis, and we’re proud to be able to support them via Power Play Donations that help them continue to do their important work.

The Admirals’ upcoming playoff run will provide an exciting opportunity for us to grow our Power Play Donation total for the 2025–26 season. To find out how you can support Ashley, Megan and ABCD, use this link: https://bit.ly/4hHNhNS

Traction Factory kicked off our Year of Giving last Wednesday with our third Pathfinders lunch packing and donation event, preparing 50 lunches and hygiene kits to support Milwaukee youth facing homelessness and food insecurity.

It’s a small act that means a great deal — and it’s something we’re proud to keep showing up for year after year.

Serving the Milwaukee community since the early 1970s, Pathfinders provides vital resources including emergency shelters, outreach programs and a Drop-in Center to meet basic needs. If you’re looking for a great way to give back this year, we encourage you to learn more or get involved using this link https://bit.ly/44oE7Br

As part of our ongoing partnership with the Milwaukee Admirals, it was an honor to feature Kathleen Duppler as this month’s MilHockey Role Model when the Admirals played the Henderson Silver Nights this past weekend.

Diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer at 38 years old, Kathleen has been an ABCD Mentor since January 2024. Since then, she has mentored 14 other women living with metastatic breast cancer. Kathleen herself has a strong support system in her husband, William, and two daughters, Becca and Liz — and she gets her inspiration to help others from her parents.

Kathleen wore her very own custom ABCD jersey, available for purchase at the Admirals team store and online. Traction Factory donates $75 directly to ABCD for every jersey sold, use this link to get your own! https://bit.ly/3NN9JLx

You’ll find ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis at select Admirals games throughout the 2025–26 season, connecting one-to-one with fans seeking support or looking to learn more. We’re excited to have received a Silver Award in the latest Graphis Photography Annual for our “Halloween Candy” social campaign illustrating that “not all treats are created equal” and encouraging people to leave the “healthy” snacks in the drawer. Marking our eighth consecutive year of being recognized in this competition, a huge shout goes out to our team for constantly creating kick-ass work in all shapes and sizes — complete with original photography.

🏈 Who really won this year's big game? (Hint: It wasn't just decided on the field.)

Traction Factory President Scott Bucher joined the Milwaukee Business Journal to breakdown the ads that made the right calls when it mattered most — and the ones that committed a few penalties along the way.

We’re excited to have unveiled the refreshed ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis Zamboni and the new ABCD Matt Donovan Jersey Program at the Milwaukee Admirals Hockey Fights Cancer Night.

This marks three years of partnership with ABCD and the Milwaukee Admirals. From a graphic refresh to the introduction of a custom ABCD jersey leveraging Matt's impact as both a player and a coach, every detail was designed to spark conversation and support those affected by breast cancer.

On top of every power play donation we make (and the Admirals match!), a donation from the net proceeds from each jersey sold will also be made to ABCD. Jerseys are available for pre-order in the team store or online through the end of the season. Use this link to get your own! https://bit.ly/3NN9JLx

You’ll find ABCD at select Admirals games throughout this season, connecting one-to-one with fans who want to learn more or seek support. Thanks to the Admirals and to Matt and Hallie Donovan for their continued partnership and commitment to supporting those impacted by breast cancer — on and off the ice.
