As people move up in a company, they should get a better view of the work around them, not lose touch with it.

One way we protect that is by promoting from within.

If you’ve lived the work, you know what you’re asking someone else to do. But an outside hire can understand something on paper and still miss what it takes in practice.

It shapes the calls you make, the standards you set, and how you respond when the work gets complicated. And for the people you're managing, there’s a big difference between being led by someone who knows the job and someone who only knows the title.

If you find a better way to do something and don't share it, the rest of the team misses out. And so do you.

That's why we ask our people to bring lessons back to the team, so one mistake doesn't get repeated, and good ideas get the spotlight they deserve.

And that works both ways. They won’t have to figure it out from scratch, and you get a better understanding just by explaining it.

When that happens, one person's experience becomes everyone's.

Big teams can get a lot done, but they can also leave you dealing with someone different every day.

When every conversation starts with “Remind me what’s going on?” it’s hard to build trust. That’s why our teams stay close to the markets they serve.

They know the properties, the people, and where the last conversation landed.

With teams across the country, keeping the relationships local is always a goal. The company can grow, but those connections shouldn’t feel any smaller.

Recently, players from Pittsburgh’s Urban Impact Foundation football program spent a few days training with college football athletes and learning from mentors.

Along with time on the field, they built new relationships, took part in worship, and put discipline, teamwork, and hard work into practice throughout the trip.

Experiences like this are part of how Urban Impact uses football to support young men throughout Pittsburgh.

Accelion is proud to continue that support as the primary sponsor of Urban Impact’s football program.

Yesterday, the Accelion California team had the privilege of volunteering at the OC Food Bank through their Pack-a-Box program.

Together, they worked on an assembly line preparing food boxes for local seniors! Lorem and Kyle packed food items, Phenix sealed the boxes, and Jesus and Ian stacked them all onto pallets for distribution.

By the end, our team helped prepare enough boxes to support approximately 1,100 senior households with food for the month. It was an incredible reminder that when everyone contributes, even small tasks can add up to make a meaningful impact.

We're proud to be part of a team that values giving back to the communities we serve. Thanks to Kyle Burdick for sharing the photos and details from the day.

It’s one thing to check a set of boxes every day. It’s another to understand what that work is really adding up to.

A property visit can be another stop on the schedule, or it can strengthen a relationship. A conversation can be a routine check-in, or it can open the door to a new opportunity.

The people who thrive at Accelion don’t just push through what’s in front of them. They understand how each action moves the account, the market, and their own growth forward.

The checklist keeps you moving. Knowing what you’re building gives the work direction.

One volunteer day can make an impact. Coming back shows commitment.

Patrick Brenton and Austin Poe from our Minneapolis team volunteered with Feed My Starving Children, an organization they’ve continued to support over the years.

This time, they helped contribute to 116 boxes packed and 25,056 meals prepared. That’s enough to help feed 68 children a daily meal for a year.

That kind of impact takes a lot of hands, a lot of coordination, and people willing to give their time. We’re proud of Patrick and Austin for continuing to show up for a cause that matters.

We've turned away plenty of people who looked good on paper but didn’t fit the way we work.

They knew the right buzzwords. They had the sales background. They could talk a big game. But this role isn’t about performing a pitch.

It’s about building trust, communicating well, and being someone people actually want to work with.

If you’re dependable, personable, and ready to learn, there’s room to grow here.

Sometimes giving back means wrangling a group of 5th graders from Colonial Elementary.

Our Territory Manager out of Philadelphia, Danny George, chaperoned his son’s class trip to see the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. More than 500 kids made the trip, and his group got the full experience with hot dogs, souvenirs, and even a baseball from one of the players.

As Danny put it, “It was a little hectic watching over a bunch of excited, sugar-fueled 5th graders, but overall a wonderful experience.”

Whether it’s cleaning up a park or helping make a memory for a group of kids, supporting the communities we’re part of is how we live the Accelion Way.

Thanks for sharing this one with us, Danny.
