Anxious about how AI is rewriting the rules of the internet? You aren't alone.
Between AI Overviews and the constant chatter about “GEO," it feels like the goalposts for getting your business found online are constantly moving.
Well, Google just did something incredibly helpful: they published an official Optimizing for Generative AI Search guide.
I’ve spent the last few days dissecting it, and here is the big takeaway.
The short version: If you’ve been worried you need to learn a highly technical language to survive AI search, take a deep breath.
(Yes, this heavily validates what I’ve been saying for two years. I'm absolutely patting myself on the back!)
Google explicitly states they do not want you to use gimmicky AI hacks. You don’t need to break content into weird "chunks," install special llms.txt files, or rewrite your copy for a robot.
Instead, they say the #1 way to win in AI search is to create unique, non-commodity content.
Commodity content is the recycled, surface-level information that anyone—or any basic AI prompt—can generate. Think bland "7 Quick Tips" posts with zero real-world depth.
To stand out, Google is looking for a unique point of view, real expert experience, and original insight.
In other words: they want your human authority.
The systems are evolving to reward the exact expertise you already possess. But you have to know how to structure and signal that authority so the bots can find it.
This is exactly what we are doing inside the Summer of SEO group strategy program.
From June through August, we are setting up your website to be an authoritative powerhouse. We’ll build a clear technical structure, optimize core pages, and map out a content strategy built on real depth—the exact foundations Google’s new guide tells us to focus on.
We start live implementation work soon.
Because this is a hands-on intensive where I personally give you feedback, spots are strictly limited. Registration closes June 3, or when the cohort fills.
Ready to transition your site from an outdated keyword puzzle into a future-proof lead machine? Now is the time.
