Most strategic plans are dead by week 3, not because the plan was wrong, but because there's no mechanism to keep it alive. Here are the 3 questions and 4 rules of the 15-minute weekly review that fixes this.

🔎 Do you have a weekly review in your diary right now? Drop your answer in the comments. Free 90-day planning template → leap2growth.com

In this Short:
→ Why strategic plans die by week 3 (and it's not the plan's fault)
→ The 3 questions every weekly review runs on
→ The 4 rules that make it non-negotiable
→ Why missing 2 weeks in a row almost always kills the plan entirely

I'm opening up a small number of free audit calls this month.

Available this month
4 spots
Free 20-minute audit calls · No pitch · No obligation
Last month filled in 48 hours. Sharing here first.

Here's what happens on the call.

I ask you five questions about your business. Conversion rate, average transaction value, capacity, team structure, and what you personally need to take home. I score each area and tell you, specifically, what your biggest constraint is and what I'd fix first.

That's the entire call. Twenty minutes. No pitch at the end.

If there's a clear path to meaningfully growing your profit, I'll describe it, with specific numbers. If there isn't, I'll tell you that honestly and point you somewhere more useful. We only take on clients we're confident we can get results for.

That's why the call is free. Not as a sales technique. Because that's the right way to start a conversation about someone's business.

Who this is for:

→ Service business doing £200K–£3M in turnover
→ Revenue is flat or growing but profit isn't keeping pace
→ Owner is working more than they should for what the business returns
→ Ready to find out what the constraint actually is

To claim one of the four spots, comment "AUDIT" below or send me a DM. First come, first served. I'll reply personally within 24 hours with a booking link.

If this isn't the right time for you, but you know someone who runs a service business and has been feeling stuck, feel free to tag them or share this post.

🛠️ Weekend question for the builders, renovators, and trades owners in here...

If you had a magic wand and could permanently fix ONE of these four headaches in your business by Monday morning, which one are you picking?

1️⃣ The Quoting Trap Spending 10+ hours of your weekend sitting at the kitchen table pricing jobs, while the pile of unread emails keeps growing.

2️⃣ The "Goodwill" Bleed Absorbing client-requested changes on-site without charging variations because "it’s only a small job" only to realise later that your profit margin went down the drain.

3️⃣ The Operations Blur Being on the tools or managing site fires 5 days a week because if you aren't there personally, everything grinds to a halt.

4️⃣ The Flying Blind Financials Knowing exactly what’s coming in (revenue), but having absolutely no idea which specific jobs are actually making money and which ones are just burning crew days.

Be honest: Which one is currently costing you the most sleep (or weekend time)? Drop a 1, 2, 3, or 4 in the comments below.

I’ve audited over 50 trades and construction businesses, so if you tell me your biggest bottleneck, I’ll reply with the exact operational fix we used to plug that specific leak. 👇

Happy weekend to every business owner in this group. 👊

This one's for the people who'll spend part of their Saturday thinking about a problem they couldn't solve during the week.

Here's the thing I keep coming back to after working with 50+ businesses:

The business you want is already inside the one you have.

Not because growth is easy. But because most businesses are running at a fraction of their real capacity, and the gap between where they are and where they could be almost never requires more customers, more staff, or more marketing.

It requires better systems. Clearer numbers. And someone who's done it before.

If this weekend is one of those where the business is on your mind, drop a comment and tell me what you're wrestling with. I'll reply over the weekend.

Or if you're ready to find out what's actually holding your business back, the link to book a free 20-minute audit call is in the first comment below 👇

A manufacturing business came to us at £1.1M turnover.

Twelve months later: £𝟮.𝟰 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Same premises. Same team. No new customers acquired through marketing.

The owner said something at the end of our final review that I keep coming back to:

"I spent years thinking we needed more customers. Turns out we just needed to stop wasting the ones we had."

That sentence is the entire business case for systemisation.

Here's what actually changed:

→ Quoting process rebuilt, any team member could price a job in 8 minutes
→ Top 5 job types identified by margin, low-margin work removed from the menu
→ Capacity utilisation tracked weekly, 58% to 87% in six months
→ Owner transitioned from 6-day operational week to 3-day strategic role
→ Profit margin improved from 11% to 22%

The growth was already inside the business.

It just needed the right structure to release it.

If you run a manufacturing or engineering business and turnover has felt stuck, what does your current capacity utilisation look like? Drop it in the comments. I'll tell you if there's a gap worth closing.

Most business owners I work with are proud of their revenue number.
They should be. Building a $1M, $2M, $5M business takes real work.
But revenue and profit are two completely different things, and confusing them is the most expensive mistake in business.
I made this short video explaining exactly why. Watch until the end, the last 60 seconds will change how you think about your growth targets.
If this hits close to home, comment "PROFIT" below and I'll send you our free Profit Leak Checklist.

Let's hear it what's your biggest business win this month?

It doesn't have to be a revenue record. A win is a win. New client landed. Team member stepped up. A process finally working. A problem solved. Something you're quietly proud of that most people around you don't fully understand.

Drop it in the comments 👇

I read every single one. I'll reply to yours and if there's a lesson or a next step worth sharing, I'll share it too.

I'll start. This month one of our manufacturing clients crossed $3M in revenue for the first time up from $1.8M eighteen months ago. Same team, same equipment, three systems changes. Proudest moment of my month.

Now your turn. What's yours?

Last quarter, a client came to me stuck…

Revenue: £42K/month
Profit: barely £3K

On the surface, it looked like a solid business.
But behind the scenes, margins were leaking everywhere.

Within 60 days, we focused on 3 things:
→ Pricing structure (without losing clients)
→ Cutting unnecessary costs especially lots of unused subscriptions and non-
performing team
→ Operational efficiency

The result?

Revenue: £42K → £48K
Profit: £3K → £14K

Same business.
Better decisions.

This is what most people miss:
You don’t always need more customers…
You need better economics.

If your revenue is growing but profit isn’t,
there’s usually a fix hiding in your numbers.

Quick question for the business owners in this group 👇

I've audited 50+ businesses, auto repair shops, dental practices, manufacturers, agencies and the same four growth blockers keep coming up.

Drop your letter in the comments:

A — Not enough leads coming in
B — Leads come in but don't convert
C — Revenue is up, profit isn't
D — I'm the bottleneck and can't scale

Tell me which one it is and what it looks like in your business right now.

I reply to every comment with something specific and actionable, not generic advice.

Which one is yours?
