As we head into fall, I want to share something that has become incredibly important to me. I’m proud to serve on the board of Tanner's Turkeys Foundation.

Thanksgiving is supposed to mean full tables, family, comfort and togetherness. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲?

𝗡𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝟭 𝗶𝗻 𝟱 𝗨.𝗦. 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆. And when schools close for Thanksgiving break, children who depend on school breakfast and lunch can temporarily lose access to meals their families count on.

For 16 years, Tanner’s Turkeys has worked to make Thanksgiving a little brighter for local families. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝟳𝟱𝟬–𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

Not somewhere far away. Right here in our community.

I landed my dream client 🤩

My Nana. 💛

She loves to give cards that she’s painted or colored herself, and this year she’s putting together something special for her 90th birthday, 70th wedding anniversary and the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Can we just marvel at those numbers for a second?! 😍

My Nana is actually the person who let me explore my creativity the most as a child. Together, we would draw, color and paint all kinds of things for hours. Sometimes it was something my Papa created in his woodworking workshop, other times it was her famous flowers or scenes of the water.

Looking back, I realize one of the biggest lessons she taught me, completely unbeknownst to her, was this:

You don’t always have to be the best, but you have to be the best at enjoying what you’re doing.

There was never pressure to make something perfect. We just created because we enjoyed creating.

And I think there’s something really special about the fact that all these years later, I get to use that creativity she helped nurture to create for a living.

So yeah, I landed my dream client. And don’t worry, Nana… I’ll email you your bill. 😂💛

Apparently my clients have a way with words. 😂🌿

I save these messages because they’re so much more than a nice compliment after a project wraps up. They’re little reminders of why I do what I do.

“You saved us.”
“I have goosebumps.”
“That’s exactly what was in my brain.”
“One of the best decisions I’ve made for my business.”
“We’re ready to pop the champagne at 9:30AM.”
And my personal favorite: “Sh*t, I forgot you’re good at your job.” 😂

That’s the goal.

Not just to make something look good, but to take everything swirling around in a client’s head and turn it into a brand or website that finally feels like them. Something they’re excited to show off. Something that makes their business feel ready for whatever comes next.

Getting to create the work is pretty damn great.

Getting messages like these afterward? That’s the good stuff. 💚

Thank you to every client who has trusted me with a piece of their business. I don’t take that trust lightly.

How sweet it is to do business with your family 🤩

My mom and sister run Angotti Grazing- Charcuterie NWI/ Chicago up in Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. They are always coming up with the most incredible products for their customers. ✨

Whenever I have a big presentation or a place I need a little extra special leave behinds or giveaways, I always go to them! I specifically said all green because duh… that’s on brand and look at how cute these yummy skewers came out!

They shipped them to me within three days and they were in pristine condition (not today Florida heat!) 👏🏽 so if you’re needing something a bit more special and unique… you now know where to go! Especially because they are Albanese Gummies 🤩 they are minutes from the factory so you know they’re good!

Your website shouldn’t just exist online. It should be actively working for your business.

It should tell people exactly what you do, show them why they should choose you, build trust before they ever contact you and intentionally guide them toward that next click.

Because the reality is:

Today is my employee’s birthday, so I’ve agreed to let her celebrate… after she finishes a few client projects.

Before approving her request, I completed my annual performance review.
