Most people don’t think twice about color.

They grab what’s in the closet and go.

But color is never neutral.

I’ve seen it over and over again. The right color can steady a room, energize a team, soften a hard conversation, or quietly signal authority before you ever speak.

🔴 Red when you need conviction.
🔵 Blue when trust matters.
⚫️ Black when you need to hold the floor.
🟢 Green when the conversation is about growth.
🟣 Purple when you’re casting vision.

We spend so much time preparing what we’re going to say in meetings, presentations, and high-stakes conversations.

Very few people prepare how they’re going to show up visually.

And yet, that’s the first thing people register.

I created this guide to help you be more intentional with your color choices in professional settings. Feel free to save it, share it, and use it the next time you’re deciding what to wear for something important.

A full closet doesn’t equal a strong style.

If you wouldn’t buy it today, it doesn’t deserve space in your closet today.
Editing is how great style is built ... one honest question at a time.

Quality over quantity. Always. 🖤

Style Lesson: Height Is an Illusion You Can Design

At 5’3.5” (yes… I’ve officially lost a half inch 😏), I’m even more intentional about how I build vertical lines into my outfits. Height isn’t about inches; it’s about proportion, continuity, and where the eye travels.

✨ What’s working here and why it matters:

✅ Monochrome magic: Wearing head-to-toe black creates one uninterrupted visual line. No stops, no breaks = instant length.

✅ High-waisted skirt: The higher the waistline, the longer the leg line appears. This is one of the most powerful illusion tools.

✅ Tights + shoe in the same color family: Black tights with black ankle boots extend the leg instead of chopping it off at the ankle.

✅ Cropped sweater, intentional length: The sweater ends higher on the body, which visually raises the waist and elongates everything below it.

✅ Vertical details: The button placket draws the eye up and down. Subtle, but effective.

✅ A little asymmetry in the stance: One leg forward, weight shifted. Posing matters more than people realize.

💡 The takeaway:
Style isn’t about hiding your height. It’s about owning it strategically. When you understand how the eye reads lines, color, and proportion, you can create presence, confidence, and yes… height.

BIG NEWS! I made the cut! I’ve been officially accepted into the Elton John Style Icon Competition. 💫 I’d love your support when voting opens Monday, October 6!

This isn’t just about fashion; it’s about vision. Besides having a seat at the Versace runway show, winning the $20,000 prize would allow me to launch my own eyewear line—designs that celebrate individuality, confidence, and timeless allure.
I’ve always believed the eyes are the window to the soul… and it’s time to frame that beauty in something unforgettable.

You get 1 free vote every 24 hours. This competition is based on public votes. Thank you in advance for your support!

👖Denim on Denim Done Right

Yes, you can wear all denim—and look fabulous doing it.

The trick is balance:
✅ Mix washes (think light chambray with dark indigo)
✅ Add texture with jewelry, belts, or shoes
✅ Play with proportions—tuck in a shirt, cuff a sleeve, or go for a structured jacket
✅ Break it up with a pop of color in accessories (hello, statement shoes or bold earrings!)

This weekend, I’m leaning into double denim—because when done well, it’s effortlessly cool and stylish.

Would you rock the all-denim look? Or does it take you back to the ‘90s? 😉

Lately, I’ve been drawn to cobalt blue 💙— that striking, electric shade that demands attention in the best way. It’s bold without being flashy, and classic without feeling stuffy.

In the world of color psychology, cobalt is all about strength, trust, and confidence. It’s a power color — and not just for your wardrobe, but for your personal brand too.

Style tip: Pair cobalt with crisp white for a clean, modern look… or black for a high-impact, dramatic vibe. Want to soften it a bit? Mix in gray or camel tones — still powerful, just with a bit of ease.

If your brand word is something like magnetic, trusted, innovative, or fearless… cobalt could be your secret weapon.

This shade doesn’t whisper. It walks in with presence.

And isn’t that the kind of entrance we all want to make?

A Style Journey Beyond the Surface

In the early 1990s, I felt invisible.

I dressed to hide, not to shine.

I felt my creativity was stifled.

My confidence? Nearly nonexistent.

So, I turned inward—and began the real work: learning to believe I was already enough.

Imposter syndrome is real. I’m not perfect. It pops up every now and then.

I also started dressing the body I have—not the one I thought I had to earn.

That shift changed everything.

This before-and-after photo tells the story of how far I’ve come.

But it’s not just about clothing.

It’s about discovering my voice, reclaiming my worth, and owning my space in every room I walk into.

Today, I don’t just feel seen—I am seen. And my mission is to ensure others rise without ever feeling the invisibility I once did.

Because personal style is more than fabric and fashion—it’s power, identity, and self-respect woven together.

What you wear should reflect your strength, not conceal your spirit.
