Do you know why I started SC Marketing Technologies?

After working in agencies, I knew there were things I wanted to do differently.

Too often, businesses get the same strategy, reports that don’t explain much, and very little clarity about what’s actually being done on their account.

I wanted to build an SEO and AI Search Optimization agency where business owners feel heard, understand the work, and have a team that takes the time to learn their business.

That means asking questions. Being honest about what needs to improve. Doing the extra work on the side as the search industry continues to change. And building a strategy around the customers you want to reach and the goals you want to achieve that works within the modern search ecosystem.

You’ve put too much into your business to feel like just another account.

That’s why I started SC Marketing. And that’s the standard we’re building our team around.

What if you don’t need another salesperson?

Your potential customers are already searching for the services you offer. The opportunity is making sure your business is the one Google and AI recommend when they ask.

That’s what modern SEO is about.

It’s not just ranking for a list of keywords anymore. It’s building your online presence so Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and other search platforms understand your business well enough to surface it when someone is actively looking for what you do.

Google’s AI Overview recommended SC Marketing Technologies.
That’s the kind of visibility we’re working toward for our clients: showing up when someone already has the need and is looking for the solution.

You don’t have to convince someone they need your service when they’re already searching for it. That’s modern SEO.

There are some client messages that mean more than any award ever could. 💙

We recently had the opportunity to read what Volt Credit Union shared about their experience working with SC Marketing Technologies, and this one meant a lot.

“Sarah has become one of the most valuable strategic partners our marketing department has worked with.”

Within the first reporting period, Volt Credit Union saw:

• 39.3% increase in organic clicks
• 35.6% increase in click-through rate
• More than 128,000 Google Search impressions
• Major increases in Google Business Profile visibility and customer interactions
• Significant gains across branded and non-branded searches

Since then, that progress has continued, including reaching the #1 position for “Credit Union Springfield, MO.”

What a night! ✨

So proud of the SC Marketing Technologies team and grateful to have been recognized as a finalist for Technology Services Provider of the Year at the Springfield Tech Council Technology Awards.

Being in a room filled with so many incredible businesses and technology leaders from our community was such an honor, and getting to celebrate the night alongside our team, clients, friends, and supporters made it even better.

For any local business owners trying to keep up with Google and AI search, there were a few updates this week worth knowing about.

Google has been spotted testing another connection between AI Overviews and AI Mode, while OpenAI and Anthropic both released new AI models.

None of this means businesses need to suddenly change everything they're doing, but it does show how quickly the way people search and research businesses online is evolving.

I put together a straightforward breakdown of what changed, what’s actually confirmed, and what business owners should pay attention to without getting lost in all the technical stuff.

Lots of exciting growth happening at SC Marketing Technologies lately! 🤍

Our team continues to grow, we’re getting settled into our new office space here in Springfield, and we’ve been incredibly fortunate to continue helping businesses both locally and across the country grow their online visibility through SEO, website design, and AI search optimization.

This Friday is another exciting milestone for our team as we attend the Springfield Tech Council Excellence in Technology Awards. SC Marketing Technologies was named one of three finalists for Technology Services Provider of the Year!

We’re proud to be growing right here in Springfield and grateful for all of the local businesses, organizations, clients, friends, and community members who have supported us along the way.

Well, I got to put my own SEO knowledge to the test recently. 😅

This week, while updating SC Marketing Technologies' location and going through Google's verification process, our Google Business Profile temporarily stopped appearing.

For a local business, that can be a pretty big deal. When your profile isn't visible, your presence in Google Maps can disappear with it, which can directly affect how people find and contact your business.

Thankfully, I knew what needed to happen. I identified what Google needed, made the necessary updates, gathered the appropriate documentation, and worked through the process. Today, our profile is officially back on Google!

It was a good reminder of something I tell business owners all the time: having an expert in your corner matters most when something unexpected happens. Google changes, rankings fluctuate, profiles get flagged, and websites have issues. You can't always prevent every problem, but you can know how to respond quickly and minimize the impact on your business.

So after a slightly more eventful week than I had planned, SC Marketing Technologies is officially back on Google. 🎉

And now, the work continues to get our local visibility right back where it was.
