It is always good to continue to grow and hone in on your business practices. It was an honor to have the opportunity to network and brainstorm with like- minded individuals who want nothing more than to see their business grow and as a result, benefit our communities.
We’re proud to share some exciting news for Robertson County! 🌟 This fall, several of our local businesses and community partners were selected through competitive application process to attend Tennessee’s first-ever Destination Business Bootcamp, sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development (TDTD Industry).
This competitive statewide program (a $1,600 per person value) equips independent businesses with powerful strategies to become true consumer destinations helping them attract more customers, stand out from big competitors, and strengthen their communities.
Selected through the competitive application process from Robertson County included:
• BS Brew Works
• Creations by Cris
• Sumner Crest Winery
• Ruby’s Happy Farm
• Willow Oak Center for Arts and Learning
Four of the selected businesses were able to attend sessions, along with team members from the Robertson County Economic Development Board and the City of Springfield, TN - Government. Participants joined sessions in Cookeville and Jackson to bring home new tools and insights that will support our entire tourism ecosystem.
Tourism makes a major impact here. In 2024 alone, visitor spending generated $2.8 million in local taxes funding public safety, education, and the quality of life we all enjoy. Our independent businesses are at the heart of that. Their creativity, service, and passion are what make Robertson County a place people want to experience.
As we head into the holiday season, we invite residents and guests to shop local, support local, and experience the unique businesses that make Robertson County special. Every purchase keeps our community thriving.
