Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference when buying a home.

Before you start scrolling through listings and scheduling showings, one of the most important things you can do is understand where you stand financially.

That means having a good handle on your:

• Monthly debts
• Savings
• Credit score

From there, we can work on getting you pre-approved for a mortgage and determine a comfortable price range.

A pre-approval does more than tell you what you may qualify for. It helps you shop with confidence, make quicker decisions when the right home comes along, and show sellers that you’re a serious buyer.

And there’s another important step before we start touring homes.

Buyers working with a REALTOR® will generally need to have a written buyer agreement in place before touring homes. This agreement explains the services your agent will provide, how your agent will be compensated, and the terms of your working relationship.

That makes choosing the right REALTOR® important too. Ask questions, get referrals from people you trust, and find an agent who will communicate with you, educate you, and truly help you through the process.
