When we hear the term “Hyper-Local” advertising most of us think of digital marketing. And Digital Marketing can be hyper-local. But so can many traditional media as well.

It starts with how you define “local”. It could be your town. If you are in a heavily urban area like NYC it might only be a few blocks. Nonetheless, there are granular tactics that work in almost any situation.

For some people cable is zoned down geographically enough. For others, local radio just hits their target business areas. And billboards on tertiary roads can be quite granular.

For Personal Injury attorneys, Hyper-local has lots of advantages. Local is by definition convenient, and we all appreciate convenience. It is cost-effective as there is no waste. And local means that someone is like us, we are more likely to trust someone who is like us.

Radio was always my favorite medium. I can listen for hours, whether it is rock, jazz, r&b, even talk, it is a great escape.

The idea of having a multi-platform marketing presence is not new. As my Dad was fond of saying, “A rising tide raises all ships”. Add more platforms and chances for success increase, in theory. But smart Omnichannel marketing is more than just platform stacking.

Omnichannel marketing means that each of your touchpoints are inter-related and work together bringing a prospect to conversion. Media and messaging are coordinated to move a prospect through the sales funnel.
