What a meaningful afternoon celebrating the launch of the Tribal Guide to Maritime Washington at Seattle’s new Overlook Walk. Created by the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area in partnership with the Squaxin Island and Suquamish Tribes, the guide invites residents and visitors to experience Washington’s maritime heritage through Indigenous voices and perspectives. It was an honor to collaborate on this project.

The new Tribal Guide to Maritime Washington, developed by the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area in partnership with the Squaxin Island and Suquamish Tribes, creates space for Indigenous voices to share the maritime heritage, history and living cultures that have shaped Washington's saltwater shores for generations.

It was an honor to help bring this vision to life through thoughtful design and digital experiences that invite more people to learn from these stories, while always keeping the voices they belong to at the center.

JayRay is looking for a Communications Advisor to join our Tacoma-based team.

This role is equal parts storyteller, strategist, relationship-builder and project manager. One day you might be pitching travel writers, planning an influencer visit or writing social content. The next, you could be leading a client meeting, tracking media coverage, building a presentation or helping us win new work.

We're looking for someone with 3–7+ years of experience who is curious, collaborative, community-minded and not afraid to grab a microphone when needed.
