One of my favorite things about what I do is getting to work with small businesses right here in our community. Every town has its own personality, and Waynesville is no exception.

I think understanding the community you're designing for matters. The people, the history, and what makes a place unique all play a part in how a business connects with its audience.

I'm proud to call this place home, and I'm grateful I get to do what I love while helping local businesses bring their ideas to life.

Most of you have seen bits and pieces of my work as I share projects along the way, but I want to start sharing more of how those pieces come together to tell a brand’s story. So over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing pieces of my actual portfolio that showcase the full body of work and how it all comes together.

It only seems fair to start with my first big project, the rebranding of Bogey’s & B**r to Score!

I’m incredibly grateful to share that Freelance Design has been nominated for Pulaski’s Best in the Marketing & Creative Services category.

Being nominated means more to me than just being included on a list. There’s something really special about having the work you’ve poured your time, creativity, and heart into recognized by the very community you’re doing it for.

To be affirmed in your gifts and talents by the people around you is something I don’t take lightly. I’m genuinely thankful to everyone who took the time to nominate Freelance Design. It means more than you probably realize.

Voting opens October 26th, and I’ll share more details on how to vote as we get closer.

For now, just thank you. Truly. 🤎

Thank you to O'Quinn Media for taking on this venture to promote local businesses!

Forever humbled.

I never want you to look at this business and think I’m the one holding it all together.

The truth is, it’s God’s grace that sustains this business.

He took away a lot of things I thought I needed. He stripped away plans, relationships, security, and the version of my life I thought I was supposed to have. And somewhere in all of that, I had to figure out who I was without any of it.

Then, little by little, He started giving me things I never could have planned for myself.

Long before Freelance Design was ever a thought, He was putting me in rooms, introducing me to people, and building relationships that would eventually become part of this journey. He put people in my life who would mentor me in business and design. He gave me the time to do this, the ability to create, and opportunities I never could have opened for myself.

So yes, I’m proud of what I’m building. I work hard for it. But I’ll never forget that I didn’t build it alone.

God took me all the way back to who I was without everything I thought made me somebody, just to show me that I was still me.

And from there, He started building something new.

This business may have my name on it, but God’s grace is what sustains it.

If you opened my camera roll right now, you’d probably wonder what the hell I’m doing. 😂

Campaign content. Events. Food. Family fun. Random business photos.

Just another day in the life of managing social media for a bunch of very different clients.
