When it became clear that Westerly Aviation’s flight school was facing a transition, I saw something bigger than a business opportunity. I saw the importance of preserving a place where people can discover the joy of flight, pursue their dreams, and become part of the aviation community.

That’s why I’m excited to share that I am acquiring Westerly Aviation’s flight school operations. The vision is simple: build on the strong foundation that Kyle, Jace, and Isaac created, bring in outstanding instructors, maintain a culture centered on safety and learning, and continue providing high-quality flight training right here in Westerly.

Flight schools do more than teach people how to fly. They inspire future pilots, create lifelong friendships, and help keep general aviation thriving safely in our communities.

I’m honored to help continue that legacy and excited for what lies ahead. Here’s to new students, new adventures, and the future of flight in Westerly.

Here’s what nobody tells you about supporting aviation businesses…

You don’t have to spend a dime.

Somewhere right now, a small shop owner is staring at a post they spent an hour creating, watching it get six likes.

A non-profit is wondering if anyone saw their fundraiser. A new flight school is hoping the right person finds them.

And here’s the thing — most of us are already on our phones. We’re already scrolling. We’re already there.

The aviation world is smaller than people realize. The shop doing paint two states over isn’t taking work from the shop near you.

The avionics company posting about their latest install isn’t your competition. The non-profit teaching kids to fly isn’t either. We’re all trying to keep this industry alive and growing for the next generation.

So the next time you’re scrolling and you see another aviation business or non-profit show up in your feed, pause for a few seconds:

-Hit like.
-Leave a real comment — even just “this is awesome” tells the algorithm to show their post to more people.
-Share it to your stories.
-Tag someone who needs to see it.
-Save it for later.

That’s it. That’s the whole thing. No money, no meeting, no commitment. Just a few seconds of your scroll time given to someone who’s working hard to build something.

We don’t have to compete to win. We just have to show up for each other.

Some losses in aviation hit differently.

While I only flew with Isaac once, I had met him several times around the airport. He was one of those people who carried a genuine kindness and calm energy that you don’t forget. A beautiful soul.

We take calculated risks every day in aviation, but that never makes moments like this easier. My heart is with his family, friends, students, and everyone in the aviation community feeling this loss.
