I provide commercial, portrait, and industrial photography, as well as restoration services to both business and consumer clients in the Shenandoah Valley and DC Metro Regions. I assist business clients in looking their best to their audiences, while my portraits hang in many homes and businesses in the region. I hold AA and BFA degrees from Shepherd University; I've been shooting professionally for almost 34 years. You're invited to visit my website, Bridgeforthphoto.com to peruse the caliber of my work. My sessions, both portrait and commercial, are fun--I'm serious about what I do and how I do it, but it doesn't mean we can't have a bit of fun along the way. Few people truly enjoy having their picture taken, but I can find something for most anyone to smile about, and it's THAT moment which is captured. You will see your images at the time the work is done, and if you're not pleased, I'll continue to shoot and make adjustments until you are.

Historic and Iconic. Our trip through the Scottish Highlands included a stop at the Atholl Palace in Pitlochry. At various times of day, you can’t help but absorb the history and the atmosphere of previous generations. Traveling gives me the opportunity to embrace other cultures and bring a fresh perspective back to my commercial and studio photo work. That said, the guitarist in the pub knew he was playing to an American audience. 😂 Of course I let him know that we had traveled over 3400 miles to Scotland from the Shenandoah Valley, only to hear John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” in a Scottish pub. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

What the… Yep that’s what you think it is. A helicopter. And a crane. Lifting said helicopter onto the roof of the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum. How COOL is THAT??!! I get it…you’ve never seen anything like it but guess what, we haven’t either. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 Years of planning and logistics resulted in this 30 minute process assisted by many experts and local contractors with cooperation from city government too. My studio is located very nearby so today we ALL stepped outside to see what the neighbors were doing, and cheering them on. It’s the SVDM’s 30th birthday, but the community has received the best gift ever. Congratulations…y’all got it done!! ❤️

Spent a little time in Scotland for the last 10 days. Started in Edinburgh and of course we started with a pub…because Scotland. Biddy Mulligans was perfect. Much more to come (there’s a LOT of imagery to go through) but we’ll start near Victoria St. So much history and character has to be parceled out carefully. (Ok the real truth is my ADHD is thumping hard here and it’s a challenge to decide what to post…😂)

We visited NYC in November of 2001. Tourism is a big part of their economy so we took the train there with the kids and my mother in law. Aged 9, 7 and 3 at the time, Ground Zero was a lot to process at any age. Claire had a note from her 4th grade class and she stuck it in the chain link fence. We had walked through the financial district to get there. The streets are narrow there and the buildings tall so it’s actually very quiet in that area. The kids were full of curiosity but in my head all I could see was smoke, ash and people leaving the area, but I had to stay calm and not let my emotions overwhelm me because I didn’t want to scare them. We walked past a fire station and they were selling T-shirts as a fundraiser with this emblem. They hung like nightshirts on the kids but we wore them with pride for many years. There’s no forgetting over here. ❤️💙 🇺🇸

Four on the Floor. We spent an absolutely fabulous week at the beach with our kids and grandkids. It was definitely lively 😂 but they’re just the sweetest kids ever. We are each allotted a definitive time on this earth—we choose to spend ours building relationships with family because family really is everything. The real entertainment behind the scenes here was my kids acting up behind me to get them to smile. (Maybe they were bribed with cookies…😂)

Life in Hand. 250 Independence Days deep, may we all teach our children and grandchildren that there’s more connection than division. We have so much more in common than the media would have us believe—as demonstrated by the World Cup gatherings—we introduced them to ranch dressing along with the land of opportunity. Let us all see the good in every day and the opportunities a positive outlook invites, and teach the littles to do that too. Peace, Love and Ranch. 💙❤️🇺🇸

All Puffed Up. My artwork featuring Atlantic Puffins “On The Cliff” was juried into the ArtScape 17 outdoor gallery of banners in February. Shot in Iceland, it’s part of the newest batch of banners now up in downtown Wi******er and Middletown. I am so proud of this program. Having been one of three ladies that “hatched” this project 17 years ago, it is now a key fundraiser for ShenArts. It was always meant to be bigger than just the three of us however, so like these puffins, it’s an honor to see this project take flight.
