South Africa may not be the biggest kiwifruit producer by volume, but it has several advantages that could make the category increasingly important.

As Adolf Kieviet, Managing Director of Freshworld (Pty) Ltd, explains, South Africa has a strong position because of its geographical access to markets, disease-free production status, suitable varieties and good timing.
