Junior clubs aren’t adult clubs with the ends chopped off.

When an adult shaft is cut down too far, you can remove much of the section designed for the player’s hands. That changes its dimensions and can affect how the finished club performs.

The KBS Generation shaft was designed specifically with younger players in mind. It begins at a shorter length, so we don’t need to remove as much material to build a club that fits.

Young golfers deserve equipment that helps them learn, not clubs that make the game unnecessarily difficult.

Your putter may be forcing you into a bad setup.

If a putter is too short, you may drop your head and lose sight of your intended line. If its lie angle is wrong, you may reposition your hands or arms just to make the club sit comfortably.

Over time, it’s easy to assume those compensations are simply part of your putting stroke.

During a Putter Guru fitting, we determine the length, loft and lie that best suit your natural setup and stroke. We then use our putter geometry machine to precisely measure and adjust the loft and lie, helping us customize the putter to you.

If putting never feels comfortable, come in and see us. The solution could be simpler than you think.

This regripping shortcut can completely change your grip size.

When we removed the grip from this club, we found three layers of old tape underneath it.

It may seem harmless to add another layer and put the new grip over top, but those extra layers add up. Three layers of tape can effectively move a player from a standard grip into something closer to midsize.

Grip size affects how your hands and arms interact with the club, so a rushed installation could change much more than how the grip feels.

Your new driver may be longer than you can actually control.

Modern drivers are often sold at 45½ or even 46 inches long, but more length doesn’t automatically create more usable distance.

A longer driver might help you swing faster, but that extra speed doesn’t mean much if you can’t find the centre of the face. For everyday golfers, the right driver length is one they can control and accelerate, not necessarily the longest one on the rack.

Just remember that shortening a driver also changes its swing weight and overall balance. Cutting the end off is only the first part of the job.

If your driver feels difficult to control, come in and see us before changing your swing around it.

An early look at some exciting new driver technology.

Sliding a small weight around a driver often doesn’t move the centre of gravity enough to create a meaningful performance difference.

This WISHON prototype gives us four weight ports and a large selection of weights. That means we may be able to make real changes to launch and directional bias by moving the centre of gravity in the driver head.

It hasn’t received final approval yet, but we get to test it while it’s still in the prototype stage, and we’re excited to see what it can do.

He blamed his putting for two years. The putter was bent.

Congratulations to Katherine on her first junior ladies club championship!

Katherine first came to us in March to have her clubs fitted, and this season she won her junior ladies club championship for the first time. Congratulations, Katherine! 👏

Today I’m working on another junior set of clubs. This golfer has grown, her clubs need to grow with her. We’re extending the shafts and rebalancing everything so they don’t become too heavy for her to swing comfortably.

Junior golfers can benefit enormously from properly fitted equipment. Clubs that suit their height, strength and swing can make the game easier to learn, build confidence and give them a better chance to enjoy their time on the course.

They also don’t necessarily need a brand-new set every time they grow. Sometimes, the clubs they already love can simply be adjusted to keep working for them.

If your junior golfer has had a growth spurt, come in and see us. We’d be happy to check whether their clubs still fit.
