Winona Peach Festival - the end of summer festival that celebrates the most delicious fruit in one of the best places to grow peaches on earth is happening this weekend, Aug.28-30!

We parked at Winona Community Centre for $20 and caught a free golf cart ride to the festival. Admission to the festival is free, but bring cash for midway rides and vendors!

Forget searching the shelves for 🇨🇦 labels, just shop at a place where everything is Canadian! Farmer To You does you one better - everything they sell is local too, and most just came from the surrounding fields this morning! Food is expensive, so let's not waste a penny - keep the money circulating in our own local economy.

If you live in Guelph, you already know Red Brick Cafe is an absolute gem, but as a visitor I was so thrilled to find this place! Cafés are so rarely cozy in the way this place is, jammed with historic features and a carpeted lounge area! No one uses carpet anymore and I understand why but there's nothing that creates a quiet muted space like it. Also, there are 2 patios and the one at the back is so private and lovely. The menu has lots of vegan options which I always appreciate - I had the chia parfait and it tasted all scratch made including the blueberry compote & granola. Tea is served on a little tray in a pot - I love it when cafés do this! ♥️

Hamilton's waterfront now has a Hamilton Public Library branch! West Harbour branch officially opened on Saturday, making good use of the views from the gorgeous building that has been sitting empty for far too long. And what other branch can you get to by trolley? 🚃
