It’s been a little while since I’ve posted on here, so this feels like a pretty good way to get things moving again. 🙌

Really grateful to Sam and the team at Elgin Rotary Club for these kind words about my work supporting Motorfun & Family Fun Day earlier this year.

It was a brilliant project to be involved with, and one that gave me the opportunity to really get stuck into the social media and general promotion of a major local event.

I’ll be sharing a proper case study later this week looking at what went into the campaign and the results we achieved.

Client Spotlight: Elgin Truck & Van Centre Ltd 🚛🔧

Over the past 6 weeks I’ve been working with ETV, bringing structure, consistency and a clearer voice to their social media.

From day to day workshop content and service highlights to recruitment support and campaign posts, the goal has been to showcase the business as it really is — family-led, reliable and high quality.

The results so far speak for themselves, with strong growth in engagement, reach and audience, while building a more professional and consistent online presence.

This is a great example of how social media can become more than just a task on the list, but a tool for visibility, trust and communication.

Aurelia House Hotel ✨

A luxury hotel brand concept exploring a more refined and timeless visual identity.

This project looks at how a brand can be built beyond just a single logo, with a range of variations and applications designed to work across different touchpoints, from digital to print.

The aim was to create something elegant, versatile and consistent, a brand that would feel just as at home on signage as it would on social media or stationery.

Personal projects like this are always a great way to explore new styles and push creative thinking a little further.

You know it’s bad when you can’t even afford to stay at your own imaginary hotel though...

Another recent website project 🥃

This time for Dallas Dhu Distillery, a historic site here in Moray with an exciting future ahead.

The aim with this site was to create something clean and informative, helping to tell the story of the distillery while also acting as a central place for updates, events and future plans.

It’s been great to work on a project that blends heritage with something new, and to play a small part in bringing that story to life online.

Website builds aren’t usually my main focus, but projects like this have been a great way to develop new skills and support clients beyond just branding and social media.

Mini Case Study – A clean, developer focused brand identity for Jack Currie Web Development 💻

Jack was looking for a visual identity that reflected the direction his work has been moving in, something that felt professional, modern and clearly connected to web development.

The concept centred around keyboard keys featuring his initials, with the main title framed in curly braces, a small nod to the building blocks at the heart of websites.

Alongside the main logo, we also developed a simplified social version so the brand works neatly across platforms.

A simple idea, but one that feels instantly connected to what Jack does.

Creative block is one of the most frustrating parts of doing creative work.

You sit down ready to design something great… and nothing happens. The ideas just aren’t there.

I wrote a short blog about my experience with creative block and a few small things that helped me get moving again. Things like changing routine, stepping away from the screen and finding inspiration in unexpected places.
