Last week, our team had the privilege of participating in the Plan International Ghana Mid-Year Program Review held in Wa, Upper West Region. The review brought together implementing partners under the PROTECT and YET (Youth Empowered to Thrive) projects to assess progress, strengthen collaboration, and align priorities for the second half of the year.
Each partner presented activities implemented over the past six months, highlighting major achievements, measurable outcomes, implementation challenges, compelling case stories, lessons learned, and strategic recommendations. The discussions were reflective, evidence-based, and forward-looking.
The week also included targeted capacity-building sessions focused on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and Child Protection (CP). These sessions reinforced safeguarding principles and practical approaches for mainstreaming inclusion and protection across all project phases.
We remain committed to applying the insights gained to enhance accountability, improve program quality, and deliver sustainable, rights-based impact in the communities we serve.

“Impact becomes stronger when it is shared. Through storytelling, documentation, and stakeholder engagement, we amplify voices from the field and connect partners, beneficiaries, and well-wishers to the work being done. A special highlight of this reflection is the choreography performance by the Smart Kids Zone—a vibrant expression of creativity, confidence, and hope, symbolizing a future where children are empowered, expressive, and supported to thrive.”
