🌟 290 Youth Entrepreneurs Empowered. Stronger Businesses. Stronger Families. Stronger Communities.
What happens when young people are given the opportunity, skills, and support to grow their businesses?
Over the past implementation period, Smart Innovations Impact, with funding support from Plan International Ghana, worked alongside young entrepreneurs across eight communities in the Upper West Region to strengthen livelihoods through entrepreneurship and financial literacy training, coaching, mentoring, and business development support.
Today, we are proud to share some of the results:
✅ 290 youth entrepreneurs empowered
✅ 81.4% female participation
✅ 95.35% reported business growth
✅ 51.5% increase in average weekly income
✅ 94.42% saving part of their business income
✅ 245 entrepreneurs reached through supportive supervision and coaching
✅ 32 entrepreneurs supported for business registration
✅ 24 weavers linked to new market opportunities
✅ 99.07% planning to expand their businesses
Behind these numbers are inspiring stories of young women and men who are working hard every day to build better futures for themselves, support their families, create jobs, and contribute to the development of their communities.
From tailoring shops and provision stores to weaving, hairdressing, food processing, and other small enterprises, these entrepreneurs are proving that with the right support, local businesses can thrive.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Plan International Ghana, community leaders, facilitators, volunteers, and all the young entrepreneurs whose commitment, resilience, and determination made this impact possible.
Together, we are building stronger businesses, resilient households, and thriving communities.
