I love colour. I have always been drawn to people who wear colour confidently and seem to light up when they wear the right shades. Looking back it appeared the happiest and most vibrant people I met were those embracing colour!
It fascinates me the way colour can completely change the way someone looks and feels. For a long time I didn’t understand why some colours didnt feel quite right for me when I thought they should have, which led to the beginning of my colour journey starting a few years ago when I had my colours analysed in a traditional four season system. While enjoying the experience, the result didn’t feel quite right for me. The colours weren’t harmonising with my natural colouring, undertone and softness.
This experience left me wanting to understand more about colour analysis. I discovered Color Me Beautiful nz with their extended 12 type season/tonal flow system. I loved that it looks more deeply into the theory of the colour system and types, the more I learned about it, the more sense it made.
Training with Color Me Beautiful nz has been a natural step as during my training I discovered I am a Muted Summer-flowing to Muted Autumn this helped me make sense of my natural quite neutral colouring, and how to wear my Muted Summer colours, the textures, contrast and and depth that works for me. This has been so enlightening for me, that the more I learn the more passionate I am to help others with their colours.
In my consultancy I’m so grateful to be helping my clients through personal colour analysis, to look and feel their very best.

Summer. The Muted types have medium colouring that is broad ranging from medium blonde, medium golden brown, medium warm ash blonde, soft auburn, medium neutral brunette hair. Skinetones are medium in depth and neutral, neutral -golden, light olive, and neutral-peach their eyes range from, hazel, medium brown, green-grey, teal-green, sometimes blue eyes with warm flecks
Elegant soft Autumn, blended, smokey, low chroma colours that harmonise beautifully with the Muted Autumn woman’s subtle neutral muted colouring are key to their image.. Are these your colours? Often not easy to identify as she and the Muted Summer are the most neutral of all types & can sit closely to one other wearing medium depth muted, textural neutral colours so beautifully.

Muted Summer is the most neutral of the Summer seasons flowing into Muted Autumn, their colouring can sometimes appear neutral-warm undertoned on first impressions however draping reveals their muted cool undertones. The muted type can be tricky to analyse as their colouring has a wide variation but is always medium in depth, low contrast and soft.
Hair can be ash blonde with some gold to medium ash brown to ash brown with rose gold lights, their complexion,neutral to cool undertoned, or medium & rosy. Their eyes range from cool blue, blue with soft white petals or waves,
blue-grey, grey-blue, grey, blue-green, teal, teal-blue, sometimes with translucence and on occasion can be a medium rosy cool brown.
Soft cool textured dusky, muted colours in blends of varying degrees of similar shades or medium to deep textured neutrals looks so chic and effortless on them.

Clear Springs wears bright colours beautifully. Especially warmer undertoned brights.. They have a diverse range of clear skin tones, from pale neutral and olive to golden and deep complexions, typically with medium to deep neutral or warm brunette hair with bright eyes of green, green-grey, blue-green, or aqua hues. Their contrasting and bright colouring thats often quite neutral can be hard to analyse, flowing to Clear Winter, enables them to wear greys and hot pink however if the colours become to cool & crisp this will appear harsh on them.
