Back from Shanghai after a few fairly intense days at SIGN CHINA 2026.
Arko and Logan Sutton from Future Grafix, New Plymouth were there representing the NZ Sign Group, with a clear purpose: meet suppliers, investigate new equipment and technology, and see what’s worth bringing back to New Zealand.
We did rather more than look.
Quite a bit of new gear is now on its way to Cutting Edge, giving us broader in-house capability, better production options and more control over quality, turnaround and cost for our clients.
The show itself was on another scale. Hall after hall of signage, print, LEDs, digital displays, fabrication equipment, automation and robots doing things that would probably trigger a fairly lively Health & Safety discussion back home.
And then there was Shanghai itself. Huge, fast, slightly bewildering, full of brilliant food, striking architecture and more going on at street level than you can properly take in. We fitted in as much as we could between expo days and supplier meetings.
A productive trip, plenty learnt, plenty bought, and fortunately nothing large enough to require its own shipping vessel.
