Your sneak peek at what a HOWIE shoot day looks like 👀

Tareq and Liam recently ventured out shooting around the Hutt Valley to capture some of the amazing businesses that are proud to call the Hutt home, with our friends at Hutt Valley NZ.

Being Hutt-based ourselves, we love shooting in our own backyard too 🎬

It was a full day of filming and a lot of fun working with the awesome teams at RIPE Coffee Company and Froth Technologies.

Q: So how’s AI impacting our video and photo work? 🤖🤷‍♂️

A: It is saving us time in some of our behind-the-scenes processes. It helps with quick retouching, colour grading, faster turnarounds and in some instances improving quality.

But here’s the reality 👇

AI can assist, but it can’t replace your REAL people and REAL stories.

The magic still comes from real human connection, direction, and storytelling. That’s something AI just can’t replicate (for now at least 😉).

Real content stands out among all the AI too!

Team HOWIE Strategy Day 2026 🧐🗒️

Once a quarter, our team gets together for a day of dedicated time to review our goals, and plan how to best serve our customers.

It was a full day!

We started with review and planning at Whakamaru, The Wellington City Mission’s new home.

Then an EPIC lunch at Burger Liquor followed by more planning goodness!

To finish, we tried our hands at rock climbing at Faultline Climbing - some of us were better than others 😉

We’ve come away refreshed and ready to continue delivering the GREEN standard of work you’ve come to expect 💚
